The "LIKE" button

Everyone should use the Like button more often on a post they agree with, instead of replying with an article of you own at very least for the Dev team. They added that feature in here so people would use that for a Kudos option to say you are for it, and it is a lot easier for them to gather information on a good idea if people agree with it.

Understand that I am not saying do not post a reply just saying we should all utilize the button more for threads we agree with and then if you want to add your 2 cents in go for it. Even though honestly I think they should add a "DISLIKE" button as well that way it becomes more of easy yes or no count. (One could assume not Liking a post is like disliking one but I don't agree with that thought because most people don't use the feature so much atm.)

Dislike button is counter productive in the long run...if only I could dislike this post to say I don't agree!

But seriously, I think a dislike button is not needed. But I do agree more people need to Like suggestions they like.

I wish we nad neither tbh.... I never seen any good from having either. People wil, use it to flame others. Or with agreeing with flaming of others.
I only like posts that i feel I should a whole 4 of them. :3
we should out it as an option ourselves and onky for a suggestion to a game improvement.

Agreed. Dislikes are only counterproductive. Then again, a lot of posts and threads here are in fact counterproductive already so even a thread with a high reply count could just be a raging flame war (which often happens). In situations like that, likes are somewhat redeeming. Although I suppose that fishing through a topic like that would be like fishing through a septic tank for a diamond ring :S

better yet just a tiny diamond. We rarely have a constructive thread/post on this forum only a few. Most of it gets necro'ed the the whiners.
I postsed about a funny japanese machinima and hoping someone could link it for me since I can't.

Its by a pokkuridynamic called lalafell fantasy. in the first vid @ about 1/2 way through mc hammers "can touch this" plays. I was laughing so hard I woke everyone up by accident.

TL;DR It's basically a fancy word for unemployed. The only difference is that Japan has made a subculture out of it.

Dislike is not totally counter productive even though you are right you can use them to flame someone (esp. the trolls), but then again people take the time to write a paragraph to flame someone. Well I have an idea of how it could be implemented. You should be able to make a "Poll" and only then does the dislike function appear and that way it cannot be used out of context.

Also I would like to see a "Like" counter on the outside on the Topic list maybe next to replies, so when the Devs check the posts instead of just checking based on replies they can check the posts that have a high amount of Likes. Also the only likes that would be counted would be for the person who posted.

I do try to 'Like' posts but for some reason when I click the button nothing seems to happen. Could just be my browser though I guess (Firefox 3.6.8).
