To all those complaining...

People can only reserve their frustration for so long. True, launches are almost always riddled with issues. But when those very issues are carry-overs from the most recent beta, that is when the play field changes. This is supposed to be a launch-ready client. Early access for the retail game. Some folks have only been able to get into the actual game for a few hours, while others still haven;t been past the 1017 error, or an endless "cannot find character list or NA/EU server list" screen. I can only imagine how bad it is for people who actually bought the game to be able to enjoy the early-release. I invited some friends to join our LS who've never played XIV before, and they bought the pre-order to get into EA. They have been trying to get in since 2am on the 24th, and have played a total of maybe 3 hours, regardless of their attempts. Makes me feel horrible for even asking them to join in.

What is killing everything is the total lack of communication from SE. If we had more visibility, more of a connection, someone telling us they are working on it and understand what is going on as well as our frustrations, that would be different. And I am not talking about the obligatory "we are aware of the issue, please continue to support us" post. We need acknowledgement and interaction. The ball is in SE's court, let's see what happens.

it's day 2 of early access, the game has been out for 2 days and you expect no problems? have you never been around for a launch? either deal with it or quit.

I have been around for several Early Access' in MMO's. Aion and Guild Wars 2 to name some of them. In both Early Access' there were minor problems that were fixed immediately.
In Aion early access people could not log on due to people afking for hours on end with no penalty. What did NCsoft do to that? Within several hours of early access they added an auto disconnect feature for those who were idle for a certain amount of time. Then all the sudden the game was fun again and everyone could log on.
In GW2 Early Access there were no problems that I can remember.

In those previous Early Access dates ALL the major problems were fixed during BETA phases; not during a games release.

I can understand heavy traffic servers, but an error (3102) they claimed they fixed comes back well thats a problem

Let's go into this a little further. Probably won't do any good at this point as this post will most likely get drowned out, but I will try anyway.

You tell ME what the problem is.
Japan as a country is home to roughly 185Million. Include Australia at 23Million and parts of Eastern Asia: we'll say maybe 300 Million within' acceptable range of the Japanese Servers. They have 20 servers and 5 Legacy servers.
Now; the US, UK, parts of Russia, Germany, France, Italy, India, Canada, Mexico...most of the western hemisphere pushing 4Billion in population are on the US/EU servers...15 US servers (with a population of 300Million ALONE) supporting all of those countries and territories + 4 Legacy servers. Those do not count the small number of European servers for those who don't want to mix in with a lot of the English speakers; those servers number all of 5 and 1 Legacy.

NO IDEA WHY THERE'S CONGESTION.

Also note; I don't believe those figures above include the 3 new servers added during Phase 4 Beta. I'm not sure what their names are or if they're UK-hosted or US/Canada-hosted.

it doesn't cut it. we needed to pay to gain early access, it wasn't given to us for free nor were we asked to test the game. FACT: this is not a testing build, it's supposed to work.

That excuse won't cut it anymore. especially when....1.0 HAD A BETTER LAUNCH THAN THIS...... it's not just the issues that was are angry about. SE has been lying to people, not answering any questions, STILL GIVING PEOPLE THE INCORRECT EARLY ACCESS CODES, and even going as far as closing customer service tickets without ever talking to that customer to help solve their problem. They are mismanaged and literally making all the wrong decisions when it comes to assisting their players and communicating with us. they forget that without us, there is no square enix.... even if 1/3 if us stop playing and leave, that is a MAJOR loss because they lose a ton of money, then word of mouth of their failings will spread and then they will lose potential players and it will be 1.0 all over again.

Ah Vago not true. There were MANY late pre-ordered games going out the day of or the day before early access so that in itself screws up any "numbers" they might have previously had.

So lets say there were 100,000 pre orders the day before it goes EA, which we both know that is no where near the number, they STILL had a general Idea of the number of people they would have...you cannot, in any logical sense tell me they didn't know
