JP Servers are actually down now.

The only reason they were down is because Square was applying the fix they used on the NA servers to the JP servers. That's the only reason they went down.

This is dawning on a lot of people, I have a character on Tiamat and oddly most of the names of other players I see are very EU sounding. So, for as long as they need to fix the NA/EU servers lets colonise a few JP servers! Colonisation is something us Europeans have been good at for centuries...

Sounds like XI with the Seekers of Adoulin expansion is the right game for you! ;p

Reroll Japan or stop QQing. Deal with the latency. There were issues on JP server especially right at launch. These forums make me sick. It is an MMO at launch there are going to be issues and guess what? They will be fixed. People will quit others will keep playing because they like the game. I get it people want to play and it sucks. But grow a pair ...

Gotta say I am embarrassed to be Aussie/NA at moment.We as a group are some of the most impatient rude arrogant self entitled little sods on the planet I lay odds you dont see the JP players all screaming law suits an threats of leaving if they cant play today etc etc etc... The server numbers will grow as you well know. What this is about I think is feeling some sort of conspiracy against NA lol

Japanese people log in to their servers much more politely than the rude Americans do. Of course the American servers are offended and start to reject people. It only makes sense.

I guess the issues root from them not expecting so many NA/EU players for the game, probably based on 1.0 player group size relations between JP and NA/EU players. Hopefully they'd give us more servers and the ability to transfer to them so that friends and communities with both new and old players could move together.

They should of probably gave NA and JP equal servers + add another 8-10 for EU as a start and see how it goes, but we def. need more servers on the NA/EU datacentre and transfers to get people off legacy worlds, or make a new legacy world and offer transfers to it.

So 1-3month down the road all the worlds they ended would have like 1k or less people playing durning prime hours? There a lot of open worlds that are not yet full. The only reason it say it full is they lower the amount of players who can log in at once.
