This seems to be an error with the way the system lists required training for crafting. The training "Dyeing" is not listed on recipes for dyed materials. It does not seem to be listed in-game on any recipe at all. It does seem apparent that Dyeing is beneficial to dyed material synthesis, even though it's not listed.
