Same issue. My dell XPS crashes at random, could be after an hour could be after 5. When I reboot I have a C++ runtime error. Doesn't happen any time but when I'm playing FFXIV

Well, I jusr think I should post this here. I observed that setting my client to open as administrator doesn't work for me. BUT, the crashes got very less frequent. Also, I noticed that after I installed my Photoshop back in the computer, it installed a Visual C++ Library, and now the game crashes very frequently, so I think it has something to do with Photoshop too. I know many of you don't use this software, but I guess that any interaction with observe like this may be useful for the dev team.

So I've been getting R6025 since Early Access and I've tried everything I could think of, except, just uninstalling all the Microsoft C++'s and running the game.. Well I finally was fed up with the error and tried it last night.. To my surprise I have not gotten R6025 since then.. I'll add that I've tried my hardest to get the darn thing to rear its ugly head but still no error.. Ran FATEs in North Thanalan for 2hrs at prime time, did FATEs in South Shroud for 30mins, harvested in that area for 20mins, ported to Limsa and ran all around while also porting whenever I could.. All these activities usually cause R6025 for me so I'm quite taken back that it isn't happening but I'm not ruling it as solved just yet by any means..
If you have time here is what I did with Windows7 64bit*Note*
- Turn off Windows automatic updates
- Uninstall every single Microsoft Visuals C++
- Reboot
- You should now only have C++ 2005 x86 and x64 (Windows won't let these go even if uninstalled)
- Run the game
Few programs I have will not run because of the missing C++'s but I could care less long as I can play without the damn R6025.. Take this as a warning if you do uninstall all C++'s
Also that I installed C++ 2008 x86 9.0.30729.6161 (Antivirus would not run without it)
EDIT
Well my game just spit out R6025 this morning.. NPCs were loading slow all morning then bam it error'd out.. Never had an issues last night during prime time on Friday night running FATEs but I crash zoning out of the inn today..

I also get this runtime error. Only on my 3 yo laptop though which needs lowest video to get good score, during a zone change. Perhaps it's a race condition where slower machines don't finish one task before some zone resource has loaded. I' seen the error teleporting outside of the City via the Aethernet gate, and even walking from one field zone to anothring La Noscea.
I had this error constantly, to the point where i was going to quit the game. I would crash every few mins in a high pop area, fall through the terrain, take 5 mins for a quest giver to appear etc. I know each PC is different and its complicated to narrow down the exact cause but I think what fixed it for me was....
uninstalling Photoshop.
Played all night without a single crash, and alot less lag.
Was blown away when i was in main cities cause i could see all the other people playing/crafting etc. They used to be all invisible.
Just adding my name to the list of people receiving this r6025 error. Never had this during beta, started at release. It has become worse as of late. Usually happens when I teleport somewhere, but has now started occurring while gathering in South Shroud. I used to get it maybe once or twice a day, but now it has reached a point where the game is becoming unplayable. It's unfortunate because I love playing this game, but will probably be forced to unsubscribe next month if this isn't even addressed. It would be nice to hear something from SE. Show us poor souls some love!
More and more crashes, still not even a reply.

According to sources on the web this issue is tied to a programming error and is usually pretty easy to track down and fix, yet the devs are swinging off people's nuts about things like making butts bigger.
What if you don't have Photoshop? Adobe Acrobat Reader? What in that could cause the issue?I had this error constantly, to the point where i was going to quit the game.
