Runtime Error

I've gotten this twice so far, both times in Ul'Dah just running around. I've also noticed that it takes forever for NPCs to show up. I usually have to stand around for a good 30 seconds or so for them to appear. Quite frustrating, especially since being kicked out means it's gonna take forever for me to get back in again. I just went to bed after the 2nd time, was NOT in the mood to spam the login server. Please fix this ASAP, SE.

Yeah, it's not like we are logging out by choice. If we get online finally, if this error happens even a couple seconds after starting to play, it's basically game over, not going to stare at my computer trying to log on again for the day

I have a possible fix for this:

* check all C++ libs, dl installer and run repair. or just update. (C++ 2010, C++ 2008 + SP1, x32 and x64)
* install the latest directx -> use webinstaller. (found this tip on some forum, seems to fix my issue so far)
* rienstall game client, if needed.

So far, issue free, after loads of crashes. Hope this helps.

Don't know if this is helpful, but I got the error in the same exact spot twice. I think there's something in this area, some texture, geometry, or something that's not being called correctly or something. As I can't get in now, forgive me if I screw up the name, but I think this is the Steps of Thal area in Ul'dah, the 2nd floor of the area.

Ran into this issue as well just a few seconds ago. I just logged twice within the last hour and almost a minute in, I received the R6025 error. Still going on. Hopefully this gets fixed within tonight's maintenance.

Well after seeing threads pop up in the bug section I'm still surprised this hasn't been an accepted bug with this many people experiencing it..

Also I'm curious if this is 64bit OS only.. Anyone with windows 32bit having this issue?

I got this 2x in a week. Now normally I would just say whatever then log back in. However that 1017 that everyone has come to love has the final word of whether you will actually play or not.

This error is terrible, waited an hour to log into the game with "world full" then when I finally get in the game I get the damn runtime error.......I have literally tried everything from reinstalling gfx drivers to reinstalling the game, checking all ram, the error is coming from in game.
The spec on my PC is outstanding & have never had any other issues with gaming other then FFXIV ARR.... it sucks & needs to be fixed asap if they want to keep there customers.
