Runtime Error

i also saw this error for 1st time today booted me out the game afterwards unable to get back in thx to the famous error message we all love to hate

did a little googling, and it appears to be a recurring thing with AMD in recent years (Borderlands 1&2, Portal 2, several other games). Lots of speculation, tied into tessalation issues, compressed textures, blah blah blah.

If so, might be able to get around it by reconfiguring drivers or something (maybe adjusting Catalyst AI and such)--or perhaps not even installing/running CCC at all and instead configure it with ATT or something. Been using ATT on my desktop for ages because of CCC issues back in the earlier days of ATI, and that system never throws VFC errors, even when compiling videos.

also been getting this error but only for the first time today. Before (beta 3 and 4) i had no issues getting a visual basic error like this.
I do also have an AMD card, but its drivers are up to date (using HP drivers however, for some odd reason HP has locked what drivers you can install for my pavillion pc)

I got this error for the first time today as well. I have not had issues at all playing for the last few days, but this popped up while I was in South Shroud.

Interesting, both times I got the error I was in the south shroud again
note to self: get the hell out of south shroud asap.

Had this error my self. my computer is easily able to run the game and i get this error. I've also yet to see a Dev or mod take note of this thread :/ Even a scripted "We are currently looking into this situation" wouldnt be bad. .

The error is not unique to users with AMD cards, as I'm running an Nvidia 550 Ti.

Thankfully I've only been hit by this once...so far no other runtime errors.

Happens to me all the time. Happens on zone change, happened while riding a chocobo porter, happened in a different zone every time. It has been happened since the very first day of early access and I have gotten it at least once every day, but usually twice. It has even happened twice within a span of 30 minutes, which is highly annoying.
