Apparently Yoshi P put out an apology, you can find the info on gamefaqs, however it states nothing about adding servers. Reads as if it will continue until demand dies down some.

I know everyone is very angry about this, and I have to admit I am as well since I have already paid money to play this game and I want to play it to my heart's delight. However, since we're all players here, there isn't a whole lot that we can do as far as physically making the servers able to handle the load or change the restrictions in place. However, I do know that we can help in our own way. There are a multitude of options that the staff managing this situation can take, but not all of them will be well received without the consent of the players. For example, setting up new servers to lighten the load and allowing players to voluntarily move their characters to the new server so that friends and teams can stay together. To be honest, if we players do nothing but whine and complain about the conditions and do nothing productive, the staff may decide to simply wipe the servers clean of characters and restrict how many players can register on each server, essentially starting from scratch or worse that they take the servers down until further notice while they upgrade their capacity, which means no one gets to play the game they paid for.

So in an effort to not have that happen I vote that we as players help out and start being constructive. Let's come up with ideas and solutions that we'd be happy with and can accept. That way when the staff is making their decisions they are more likely to make one that favors what we'd accept.

They really need to add the "queue" properly!
I mean, I now all this SUCKS, I wouldn't get so frustrated if they would just put you on the queue instead of having to spam log in until it works!

Really same crap all day yesterday, go to work come home thinking hum maybe I can play... still the same thing world is full BS, SE you are about to lose a lot of unhappy customers. If it's this bad now, when the game is in full release it's just going to get worse with the new people.

Companies launching MMO's are notorious for under purchasing hardware and "making do". If they over buy hardware and in a month or w/e timeframe the launch masses die down they are left with huge server costs. I don't anticipate they'll be adding more servers; they just continue to enforce the manual threshold which stops players from getting a queue or even kicking them from the queue when the server limit reaches its cap.

Queue seems to work some of the time. I just got in the queue after about 5 1017 errors. Didn't even take all that long to pop either o-o even though I was supposedly 79th in the queue.

This is just complete and utter BS!!! who the hell is running the network team?!? HE SHOULD BE FIRED~!! for the beta 4 and early access weekend I have been able to play for 4 hours.. FOUR HOURS!!!! I dont want your apologies I want you to fix a game that has already been broke that I paid for anyway. Im a legacy player. I dont want to start a new character on another server. I want to play MY character!! I come home from work and I can't even play.

You cant even handle early start server stress? This is why almost every other company in this industry does stress tests for more then 2 days at a time (but you cant really say the servers were stressed because 95% of the beta testers couldn't even log on to the servers) Might as well forget about the actual launch. It is unbelievable how you've handled this mess from the top down. You should be ashamed of the product you've put out. I'm telling all my friends that I've been hyping this game to just forget about it, don't bother, because whats the point of a beautiful game that nobody can play.

To me isn't the case, I got into the queue after about 20 or 30 tries, then after the queue I get the 1017 error...
