basically i "paid" for EA to get this error all day long
Even though this EA period is so call free, but hell, I still paid for my game, at least let me play smoothly before I dump some monthly fee into this?
so it is still P2P right now but it feels like I'm paying for a Phase 5 beta in every way..

NOt subbing until its all working fine, i have limited time to play and have had almost no time to play during those limits already, my progress isnt much but what i have done im pretty proud of. I hope the so called upgrades to the servers ,meams more capacity on the existing servers and not simpley more servers, we want to play existing characters not roll new ones every time a new server reaches capacity

    Quit Crying...

Ok, they posted what they needed to...a correction to a statement that obviously was made out of haste to appeal to players who are upset.

Each one of you who are QQing on here about how SE has done a shit job (Which we all know they could have done better..) Aren't really accomplishing anything but making yourselves look like asses. I didn't get to play with friends for 4 days, 2 minutes at a time before I got kicked. It happens.

World of Warcraft - Bad Launch

In the days after that launch, server queues routinely reached into the thousands, random disconnections were common, and latency issues famously trapped people in a "looting" animation for a half hour. Problems were still frequent by January 2005, when GameSpot reported that 20 of the game's 88 servers were offline for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday weekend. Blizzard's Mike Morhaime publicly apologized for the problems and offered four days of free play time for the disruption (street value: about $1.50).

    Disney Infinity - Bad Launch

PS3 users experienced crashing, freezing, corrupted game saves and a wide variety of issues to include having to disable their connections on their PS3s completely in order to play a game that cost people up to 5 times the amount of Final Fantasy XIV.

What was the response from Disney to PS3 users? "Turn your connection off, delete the patch and wait..."

    Diablo 3 - Horrible Launch

Blizzard initially downplayed the problem, but as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube filled with over-the-top rage (not to mention countless jokes) about not being able to log in, Blizzard quickly offered a formal apology. "Despite very aggressive projections, our preparations for the launch of the game did not go far enough," the company said. "We're continuing to monitor performance globally and will be taking further measures as needed to ensure a positive experience for everyone."

Just when Blizzard thought the problems were behind them, servers were again hammered on May 31, when a new patch rollout led to widespread login errors yet again. By that point, many players had already given up on a game that by most accounts failed to live up to a decade of heightened expectations. Though the game still has a devoted following, the pain of that negative first impressions seems to have taken its toll.

    Vanguard - LoL

Game was full of incomplete pieces, crashed every second or two, and laggy

The point is...every major publisher or game has had issues.

You people can say I'm this or that or whatever. You can also cry more. Atleast it's taken them 4-5 days to come up with a resolution and not the Disney route and say "Tough it up..."

They're doing something, have some patience.

    Ghost,
Although I would agree with the 'Spirit' of your post and the intention behind it, it is misplaced. The title of this thread is "The server is full, try again later (1017)" and it is in the Technical Support Forum not General please stay on topic. If you have an issue, report it. Otherwise post in a different forum thanks.

    On topic:
I am in now on Adamantoise thanks!

    Meh.

I'm just saying people should stick to it as well.

    We understand the 1017 issue.

    We know they're fixing it.

They don't need to go nerd rage on SE cause of a launch.

    Just sayin'
