Another fun evening spent in/on FFXIV, hope it takes less than 5 hours tonight.............
Am sure this has probably been brought up already, but I am not reading through 100+ pages of posts to find it.
Is there any reason they have not taken the approach that Anet took with GW2 and create Overflow servers to act as temp servers till your server is opened up, and you are able to "port like going into instances" back to your own server ?
I mean if should not be difficult to set up on their end, and would solve the mass overflow of players till things settle down.
As to SE releasing the game...... if they did not see at the end of beta 4 that they needed more time, then the first day of Early Release should have given it away to them tenfold.
Are they not still trying to recover from the flop of 1.0 ? And the allowed ARR to go live as it is currently ?
Sorry, bad business IMHO. They should have delayed the full launch till the game and capacity to play the game was at 100%. Not limited.
up to the top Again we go, this needs to be fixed, i dont mind sitting in a 500+ queue, but to be told i should just try Again later, is pissing me of.
Anyone else get a little excited when it stays on the now loading screen for a few seconds before 1017 message![]()
As most people have already mentioned, a queue needs to be implemented. We can't possibly know when a spot is going to open up.
All they need to do is add either an AFK timer (which can be botted around) or add rolling restarts of servers every 4 to 6 hours. This will knock out all the AFKs and drastically improve log in times.
And not one minute after I post that, I get a message that says: "The World is currently full. Players in queue: 59."
I wonder why it happens sometimes, but not others.
This is unbelievable. They used to have a queue and they have regressed to this nonsense. What, exactly, are we paying for?
