Add me to the list. 1017 error.
Goblin Server

First off I can not believe how some people are acting. When how many thousand people are trying to log on all at the same time problems are going to occur. the are far fewer of devs then there are player by far. I'm sure they are doing the best that they can to fix all the issues. This is an unfortunate but common problem with mmo's. don't like it, don't play mmo's. I would like to be playing too, but that isn't quite possible at this moment, and I'm not going to cancel my pre-order, or write nasty letters to SE, because ffxiv is, to me anyway, a really fun game. Now how about you all quit crying, suck it up, and act like adults, and try to do something productive... like stop trying to log in every 3 seconds. That does make it harder for them to fix the problem.

add me to the 1017 error club. Server: Balmung. Even made a quick character on Faeire server only to end up with two characters in the 1017 club.

Peak time or no, getting kicked off to 90000 error, and then not being able to log back in after 100 attempts with the 1017 is frustrating. Put me in a queue. Force log outs for people without action in over 5 minutes.
It's Early Access, so it's forgivable, but jeez it is really starting to get old. I'm not going to make any demands until tomorrow. Launch is launch guys, you've got Wildstar on the edge, you've got Warcraft releasing a major game patch for the end of the expansion, not too mention hearthstone launch soon.
I'm a FF loyalist, but if I can't play your game reliably... well then simply, I can't play your game. Forget about the challenge it is to play with friends right now.
It seems you're doing what you can, or so all the letters from the Devs assure me, but it's what you can't do that I'm afraid of. If you can't fix this issue, then you don't have a game to play. Regardless of how good I believe it to be.
If it's going to take awhile, if you're really going to launch the game without paying players being able to access their characters or play with their friends, then you need to seriously consider how you plan to reward the patience of the players who stick around. You have something special here guys, no doubt in my mind, please do right by your fan-base.
Your ignorance knows no bounds. You see, this would be the case if it was a launch day problem, but guess what? It isn't. It's a problem that showed up even in early access, which is absolutely absurd, considering how much time SE has had to polish this game. The fact that you can't even see that is astounding.First off I can not believe how some people are acting. um.... you do realize that thousands upon thousands will be logging on at the same time every day after official launch. In fact, it may be even more than we have now. This is just the pre-order crowd. you know, the people that starting buying their licenses up to a month in advance (or earlier). Not like SE didn't know ahead of time how many people would be logging in... I mean, not like they didn't already have a successful run with a previous game in the franchise that at one time had exceeded 1 million active subs in one year.First off I can not believe how some people are acting. Just saying... have to put things into proper perspective here, seeing as some may not be grasping the big picture.
First I do appreciate a logical and well thought argument, and not a insult. Thank you. Yes, I do realize that tomorrow even more people will be logging on. However I would like to point out that it is likely only a handful of people on there actually understand what its like to actually make and maintain a game. It isn't easy I assure you. No matter how aware they are about how many people will be logging on nothing can test how the servers will react to that much traffic. It cannot be prevented in almost any new mmo. I am aware that everyone has expectations of SE but they tend to be a little blind. There is nothing that can be done now that isn't already being done. They posted a warning about this on the 21st. You cannot say that you where not warned about what might happen. SE will open up many more servers tomorrow that can better accommodate the traffic but there will still be issues. Bioware, Blizzard and any other company that has an mmo have all experienced this problem at one point or another you just have to understand that these things happen. I'm positive that SE will correct the problem in some way to make up for the time players lost. The big picture here is the game will be around for a few years at least. you will all survive a few days of waiting.um.... you do realize that thousands upon thousands will be logging on at the same time every day after official launch. p.s. before anyone decides to post further insults to me know this I really don't care what you think of me or my opinion. if you want to disagree with me try and actually make a FACTUAL argument.
