    That's nonsense. It's 2013. Server farms are scaleable. You lease what you expect to need, then add or remove machines as needed. If that's not how FFXIV works, then either their programmers or IT operations teams are morons. World of Warcraft made that virtualization switch over 7 years ago. Every MMO since has done so. TESO is using far superior world/realm-less design to keep the MMO and benefit from infrastructure of an action RPG.
