So I was just doing some testing and it appears that this problem is mostly with legacy servers. A few other's do this also but mostly legacy. Of course it's all on NA/EU servers though cause the JP ones work just fine. If this is the case they should make a few more legacy servers and give free transfers to those so that people can actualy play thier characters they have had since the game came out the first time. But don't take anything from new players but only allow accounts that are so many years old to get on a legacy server.

Honestly, all of this is bringing a lot of people down and facing the fact that maybe we should all just give up on it... and this is coming from a legacy member who stuck with it every month for three years waiting for an amazing product. I want to be able to use this as a way of escapism and I can't do that if I get "error 1017" every time I log in.
I'm afraid this will become F2P and if that's the case then it'll be a sad day in my book... and in a lot of people's minds as well.

I'd like to consider myself a person of much patience, but after getting kicked off due to maintenance half of Saturday, and locked out of half of Sunday from the 1017 error, and now actually hoping that It would work for a change today and still getting a 1017 World Full error, this is getting pretty ridiculous.

Ok this is ridiculous. First I am sitting in a queue of 4 people then it comes up and says World is full error 1017 - seriously people, Get your heads out of you know where. This is not your first MMO you have released and these are issues u should have fixed back in beta 4.. You realize release is tomorrow. If this crap is happening then you will be getting a lot of crap and the media will be all over it.

It was advertised for Early Access when i pre-ordered and this was not the case. Early access is nothing more than a soft launch and I expect a few hiccups but not being able to even play over a course of multiple hours of downtime. I am sure the Datacenter Enix is using is not fullfilling their contract of how much downtime they are allowed to have over a period of time. I to am frustrated that I even paid for the pre-order which is also a loan that gamers who paid for the game ahead of time to generate revenue to Enix and nothing is even being delivered as promised. Yoshida asked us to come back and for new players to begin a FF adventure to love and recommend it to friends but after this fiasco I have pulled my recommendation for my friends to not bother with FFXIV until these server issues are cleared up and it looks like it wont be by official launch.
