The server is full, try again later (1017)

This error has caused me to leave the game. I'm sorry I'm 100% understanding of full servers, that's expected during a launch... However that's what QUEUES are for. This "welp try your luck later" bullshit is unacceptable. So sorry that you pissed away your 2nd chance. This is completely crap.

Just like I keep saying...

These pages are filling faster than I can read them. Obviously something is not right with that. I got kicked out and now am getting the 1017 loop for the past couple hours. I got into a queue once with 44 in it, then got booted out with 1017 again. UGH!!!

all server is full and i dont have a lot of time for playing is realy pathetique too paye monthly fee and not be able too play because server is full , sure i got a very bad taste too paye for this ,that is really a lack of respect for customer big and rich companies like se miss server

Guys, this problem is NOT going to go away. SquareEnix needs to do four things to solve the server congestion issues. Two of which they have made extremely obvious they have no intention of doing, and the other two they seem rather disinclined towards as well.

First, remove the Error 1017 stating that the world is full. If the world is full, place the player in a queue and TELL HIM HOW DEEP IT IS. At this point players can either tab away from the game while they wait or choice to exit and go do something else.

Second, implement an "away from keyboard" auto-disconnect such as is present in EVERY OTHER MMO. If the server does not receive a hardware control input from the client (via keyboard or mouse) for a set period of time (15 minutes seems to be average across most games, but exact length doesn't matter as long as it exists) then the server disconnects from the client with a message along the lines of "You have been logged out due to inactivity"

Third, create new worlds for the NA/EU data center(s). As it stands all but 2 worlds were completely full last night, and with the actual launch tonight those two will fill up within hours, if not minutes. With the number of people receiving Error 1017 and the fact that 23 of the 25 worlds are full, I would probably consider adding at LEAST 10 new worlds.

Finally, implement a way for players to move existing characters over to less populated worlds. Ideally this should also allow for group movement for people who are playing with friends and for professional gaming guilds who got broken up by the insane login and character creation limitations. This also needs to be FREE. It only needs to be in place and free for a week or so for the populations to balance out.

If SquareEnix did those things their congestion issues SHOULD balance out to the normal level for a MMO launch, but I can't promise that it will, or even that SE will actually do what is needed.

1st) You guys take out gil. 2nd) you break are mats and leave us with bs gear in our inv.3rd) you guys keep telling us sorry for the problems we dont want to hear this anymore. We want to play what we paid for . Just like the first crew was fired for making 1.0 better know as trash.Its time to start firing more people . Every day i log in i pay for a while and get this error 90000 or 1017 or 101002 something like that. how do you expect for people to keep buying or paying 2 pay this if they cant get online or stay online longer then 30mins . This error about world full stuff is crazy . my char been on this world for over a year. now why i cant log in to fix the issus open up a server and let people choose to move for free . I can say or fix it because this team is having a hard time doing that . So for the complaining but i have more problems with this game then i did with 1.0 .

I got disconnected while zoning yesterday before 3pm. I was not able to log in to that character up until 10pm when I went to sleep... came home from work today and been getting "we don't even want to bother letting you wait in queue error 1017" from 7 pm till 7:45 pm... still getting the message now. I paid an extra $10 to get the pre-order early login and have been denied most of day one, most of day two, and now the remainder of day three?

Only allowed to play on Japanese servers for the past 72+ hours, or, REALLY late at night. Getting frustrated.
