The server is full, try again later (1017)

Calm down there working on it... in 2 days the servers will be flooded they wanna make sure they don't crash on release day... This is a privilege to play now not a right

I went down to my local gamestop, paid them 5 dollars for a preorder because I was told if I did that I would get early access. THAT is buying early access. It most certainly is our RIGHT as paying customers to play right now. STFU and stop hugging SE's nutsack. That's the dumbest fuckign cop out excuse I've read on the forum over and over.

Games been in development longer than almost any mmo considering its been released, pulled down due to countless bugs and bad design, then re released. It has had an extensive beta period. These problems should not be cropping up now, and not to this severity. I have played every MMO since EQ and cant remember a launch as bad as this one (WoW was comparable, however that was nearly a decade ago. I would hope testing/technical prowess of the server staff to be better than what blizzard had in the early 90's).

Frankly to me, its just the bad communication. Whats the issue, when will it be fixed, and whats being done. Simple stuff, but very much lacking.

It is my opinion that if you bought this game on the advertisement that you could access the game early, you're not getting what you paid for.

I made the choice to overdraw my account just to play Early Access. Instead, I not playing due to No Access.

I chose to pay based on the following; "you will be granted access to play".

TL;DR

People purchasing FF14 ARR on the premise of EA aren't getting access what they paid for.

I wouldn't mind sitting waiting in a queue even if it was like 300th in line just as long as I knew I was definitely going to get in eventually... but the fact that even if it lets me into a queue at say 67th in line, 30 seconds later I get a bloody 1017!!

I am really REALLY trying to love this game and Phase 3 was smooth as silk, but even I am getting super frustrated at this point! Mostly because I don't even know when I'm going to be able to get in and play again! *sadface*
