is anyone really shocked that SE is failing YET AGAIN, if you are then your weren't paying attention!
I got excited, I was placed in queue and only 20th in line. I click back to say "hey I got in queue" then the 1017 error popped up over the queue box and kicked me from the queue. Bravo Square Enix, Bravo.
Spammed for 2hrs and finally got in on Cactuar..
Can you really blame the afk's? They paid for a product as we all did. Why turn on them when the real problem is SE has KNOWN of this 1017 and has yet to raise the server cap.
Everyone wants to play and the 1017 shit pisses everyone off.
In XI there was no afk timer at all course JP had it for a year before it was released to NA, which gave SE plenty of time to work out shit. Plus for CE when you register for game they give you 30 days free (at least it did for me) before needing to make a payment for your sub.
I wonder...
Very few mmo launches happen without a mess @ the beginning... I'm not advocating for it being acceptable but come on everyone... what else did you expect.
I SEE A QUEUE!!!!
It is "amusing" when it tells you you're in a queue (you know, a queue where you're in line, eh?) and then a few minutes later it bumps you out as "world full". That seems to imply there was no real queue unless some deviant is twiddling the world max pop knob for funsies or something.
Net effect = perception by player there really isn't a queue if he/she is #7 and then a few minutes later "world full go away".
I expect to at LEAST sit in a queue. Not play press the button faster than someone else in for hours on end to even log on.
Got stuck outside the door as well. But every popular mmo's early stages are like that...
