The server is full, try again later (1017)

I was able to get in just fine (SIren server) all through the early access weekend but now on release day which I had asked for the day off in advance I'm unable to get in. Last night as I logged out it did cross my mind to just leave my character afk but decided not to be a an ass, now I know there is a dick out there who is afk and thanks to him I can't get in.

Why did they do another main? that last one before official launch had fixed everything...why continue with them? Q_Q

1017 for several hours now... this is getting way out of hand. There has to be something that can be done? Some much more efficient way at fixing this problem rather then leaving us all to scratch at the door.

idk but i feel this game far worst than DC universse... imean dc universse... has no worlds... you just get in and you can teleport to your frinds ... no servers what so ever... gee i feel like ff14 its just a ripoff.. the fix its super easy! needs more servers! if have month fee... servers will pay its self.... gee.. its easy more servers!

gee i mean they suppose to have known that many! people were witing for the ff14... many fans... many mmo players looking for new game... gee its not so hard the entire world wants to play ff14... the fix easy.. more servers! and in servers a serveer status bar... emty, full, half,... that way people can shoose smart and enter a decent server...

After 50 minutes I managed to get in a queue of 200, logging in a few seconds later.

If you capped the queue at 200, you will get a lot of angry people and very fast there will be no further need for queues, or additional servers.

Guys, seriously, what's going on ?

How do u possibly expect people to pay for the game when they can't even play at all ? U want guys to pay 15$ a month to get a 1017 msg in their face ?

It's 2013, all games now have overflow management (GW2, EVE, EQN will have it, probably Wildstar too), how can a game that already failed miserably once can face such an incredible situation ? Do you use the same technology than for 1.0 ? Are u running servers on Sun Solaris or other kind of crap ? How can you even have NO queue management at all ?? It worked in beta !

It's official day launch today, you had already 4 days to fix this (ok in Quebec the days are short) and the situation hasn't improved at all. There is no forseeable solution, no timeline to keep your customers informed.

Honestly u bring shame to the whole gaming industry and totally soil Square Enix name. Infrastructure in 2013 is NOT an issue for any respectful company, you can loan / outsource / increase your server capacity "on the go" with any decent provider, cloud solutions allow you to do it real time as well. And you don't even have to pay for the capacity that you don't use (i.e., downgrading your server cap when pop drops).

So, WHY 1017 ? How can you possibly explain it ?

Edit : Also, since u have so many issues with server cap and all, how do u explain not even having a script that kicks AFK people ?? I mean seriously, guys logged in AFK for hours or days without being kicked ???
