Unable to connect NA/Eu character list

Also have unable to update NA/EU server issues... will also happen to the JP servers. Also says servers are up and running in the client and via 3rd party sites, and ls members who were logged in while I was experiencing this issue. I understand that this is EA and that there will be issues, especially since the open beta was so short and didn't really seem to focus on stress testing the servers, but they were working better during the beta. Anyways, hope this issue is addressed soon. I will play, as the game is very fun when its "working as intended", but am disappointed with SE at the moment. You worked so hard at remaking the game and so far have done such a good job with it. Why f it up by not providing the proper infrastructure for your NA/EU customers.... your doing it right at home, cant be that much more complicated to do here.

I can't log into the servers as well. The NA/EU server list isn't even showing... Sometimes it does but most of the time it doesn't. When it does I get error 1017..... this is getting very annoying. My bf is sitting right next to me and he finally got in the game. SE, you do realize that you anger your customers more when only a small percentage can get in while the rest of us can't..? And blocking most people from entering the game doesn't seem like a fix at all for the server/instance/login/everything congestion that is going on that you can't seem to fix...

They disconnected a crap load of ppl from the NA servers to limit logon. This is such bunk considering this is supposed to be our early access. They better make up for it someway.

Havent been able to log in to my NA characters since 8:30 this morning getting the 1017 error message on all NA characters BUT my JP character has no trouble.... FIX THIS shit O and also lift the block from stopping people from making threads, i keep getting an error that my character isnt high enuff or i have made my limit and i have not made a topic period.

I actually planned my weekend around this LOL and took a day off... This is not cool

My wife took the whole week off. looks like a wasted vacation week, maybe we can plan something else last minute...

I have to say, at this point, are not all of the players paying customers? how can you not have the resources to handle the paying customers?
at least all of the bugs from the three day open beta got fixed, thank goodness.

K I think I figured it out.. per goog!e there is a rogue ninja faction at the server head quarters. Their leader is super mad cause he had an epic toon in FFXIV 1.0 and doesn't have it anymore so their master plan is to make it so NO ONE CAN PLAY!!! It started with the 9000's/3102's and now its the 1017's/3's ... who knows what nefarious error code he has planned next! Maybe even the dreaded 0x00000019!!!

I paid money for early access and yet to log in. Perhaps running open beta for more than three days would allow more time to address these issues before you start taking money for service which cannot provided. Another epic fail. Refund early access, postpone launch and fix your game... 'nuff said,
