Freeze/Crash & BSOD issues

I think we just need to post in this more and direct anyone having the same issues in game here to get SE to notice and do something. It might not be an issue with a game but an issue with out setups but at the least it'd be nice to get some feedback or suggestions from SE. I can't really try playing on a different computer as my laptop is old and has issues with the GPU overheating when playing 3D games.

I have tried:
Resetting CPU clock speed to default (2.66 Ghz as opposed to my OC at 3.5Ghz)
The Nvidia inspector graphics card mode lock thing
Lowering the in game settings
reinstalling the game
removing/using the frame rate limiter in game
Using the latest beta drivers
using the latest stable release drivers
make sure nothing is overheating (CPU ran at around 56 C max on 2.66Ghz and GPU did not run long enough to get close to being hot before a crash a few times)
ran FFXIV as admin

I run FFXIV windowed at 1600x900, I have 2 monitors and 64bit Windows 7 Pro. Using a GTX285 with latest release drivers and an intel i7 920 at 2.66Ghz.

Also, I should add I only had this problem starting from the update for Early Access. Prior to that, during phases 3 and 4 I had no issue at all running the game for extended periods of time. I never had one crash at all and was lucky enough not to encounter connection issues so I was able to play pretty much constantly during the beta. Since the update to Early Access I started getting problems. There must have been something in that update that has caused this to happen.

After crashing for the 6th time today I'm done... just done with it. I want to really applaud the development team because you guys really did a great job reshaping the game. I remember trying out the original beta and just being in absolute shock at how horrible the game was. I was a huge FFXI fan so I was looking forward to starting with this so you can understand how upset I was when I tried that first beta. Ugh... but I kept tracking the game and then the eventual decision to redevelop and relaunch the game and was so happy to see what you guys came up with. Really... kudos!

BUT... I just can't play this game... literally. I look forward to when you guys get your bugs worked out because I think I'll try it again. I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if any developments come but I won't be subscribing come October 2nd. Please SQE... get your house in order. Get some Customer Support... get some reliable ticketing system... and simply work out these issues fast because all that hard and great work you did will be for nothing.

They have noticed it (check a post from a mod 24 days ago) but they have not kept us appraised of what is going on and it's frustrating. BUT they did notify me that my free month is about to end so I will have to start paying... they sure as hell worked their payment system out. Whatever... good luck getting help Zomba.

Well I've been having this problem since EA

I've re installed FF14 ARR 4 times
I've re installed old and new drivers (current driver is 327.23)
I've re installed Microsoft Visual C++ god only knows (at least 6 times)
Played in full screen and windowed mode
I've tried tweaking every single setting I could in the graphical settings
I've defragmented my HDD

No my CPU or GPU isn't over heating

My rig is a single card GTX 550 Ti, AMD athlon II x2 255 processor with 4GB memory, windows 7 64.

It's happened when teleporting, zoning into a zone, even riding my Magitek Armor after killing Red Baron fate boss.

My guess is it's code related on their end since it can't possibly be on our end since wiping or re installing would have fixed it by now, if I was a gambling man it would have to do with their game engine that they use since if I'm not mistaken it mostly uses Flash which is honestly pretty bad to use for a game this size. Swtor almost had the same problems which was optimization problems since it too used Flash but not as much as FF14 ARR.

So these errors aren't on our end, it has to be on SE's end since the usual ways of fixing errors on our end do nothing if anything it just gives us time tell it happens all over again.

No, nobody in their right mind uses flash for a game. The only thing that uses flash is the Launcher.

And you're right, the BSOD cause is not a result of CPU/GPU overheating, it's a result of bad nVidia drivers + something else.

But the average person is not capable of figuring this out.

BSOD is always one of two things
a) Driver issue
or
b) Hardware issue
Since the entire reason for the BSOD is to prevent damage to the system from A or B. Even still, you may get damage to the registry or file system if the BSOD occurs during file writes.

I've been searching for a fix to this problem for over 30 days now, and I also received the email asking me to start paying for AAR because the free trial will end in a few days.

PLEASE ANYONE WHO HAS READ THIS THREAD AND IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE POST YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH IT!

I have a feeling there are a large number of people with the same issues that have just not spoken up, if Square Enix wants us to continue playing this game while they get paid for us using it they need to solve this issue immediately!

I can forgive the fact I can't play on the same server as my friends do because of the early server congestion, but not being able to play the game at all for fear of it crashing during a dungeon/quest/fate is absolutely unacceptable.

Getting constant PC lockups about every 10 minutes. Once in a blue moon the driver will recover and I'll let me alt+tab out but mostly just crashes the pc. Here is my System Information.

Well I've been having this problem since EA

I've looked up the C++ R6025 - pure virtual function call error.

My best guess is that it's related to a "bad program" installed on your system. Most forums recommend a complete Windows reinstall, but this was also suggested (I can't vouch for it soooo use at your own risk [EDIT: I'm talking about the utility not the system restore!]): http://www.wiki-errors.com/wiki-errors.php?wiki=r6025

Personally I would recommend downloading Advanced SystemCare and running it's utility "Maintain Windows" and "Diagnose System" scans, then just let it fix all the errors.
****Just don't remove anything in it's Security Analyzer section of the scan (it will ask you to check what you want to remove and leaves everything blank by default) because it tends to highlight everything installed on your computer, lol.

I underclocked my 670 FTW 4GB by -135mhz gpu clock and it seems to fix my crashes, anyone using factory overclocked cards should try this.
