On topic for this thread, my game also crashes with that virtual call fail message - others have reported it and many seem to think it's a game software issue so I'm just waiting (like they are) for a patch to eventually fix it.

On your sub-topic mention of how long your ticket has been open, I cannot even FIND mine (ticket # 2860105) sumbitted using some web page menu that was spuriously labeled "Email support" - I say "spuriously" because the email I got did not include the ticket number, or any support, or any actual live human generated content, but simply told me to submit the problem to the forums instead. Heck, a pop-up could have told me the same thing much faster. I cannot find my ticket number 2860105 anywhere. My in-game History of tickets sent in via Contact Us, has not updated itself since 9/8/13, (is anyone else's stuck since that date also?) , and the only way I think they've been getting my RMT reports is those spammers names seem to vanish from Search a day or two later. Only 2 have said "<deleted>" in my blacklist, but 34 names I submitted for proven spamming have vanished (I typically report 2 or more RMT spammers per day - I report EVERY one that I see.)
So, my History is broken, so I can't see if they saw my contact telling them so.
The Email reply they sent me, doesn't mention anything specific or useful and simply refers me to the forums (where I HAVE already also reported the same issues, to no avail.)
I and several others are also still stuck with wrong-gendered swimwear from Moonfaire in our bags. Yes, carelessness should be avoided and we did goof, but so did the vendor whose software should not have even allowed the purchase of unwearable, non-discardable, untradable, wrongly gendered items in the first place. THAT should be fixed in the vendor software.
GM's seem more elusive than Snarks, at least I have not been able to engage one so far.

    Game crashes
Mistakenly purchased wrong gender Moonfaire swimwear cannot be worn or deleted (and should not have been buyable)
History (in in-game support desk) is not updating (nothing since 9/8/13)
Email support gets you an automated, unidentified email telling you to go post the problem in the forums.
    Anything else?

At least my logins are working quickly now. Thank you Square-Enix for the server upgrades and login fixes.

I was getting BSOD for quite awhile until I uninstalled EVGA Precision X which I was using to limit my FPS in FF14.

    No BSOD after uninstalling that.

Maybe you are using it, not sure, if so, uninstall it.

    Add me to this list.

    Asus Sabertooth Z77
    Intel I5-2500k
    8GB Ram
    EVGA 570 GTX
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    750w Ultra X3 PSU

The game ran flawlessly from P4 to the 15th at max settings, never crashed once except for normal game errors like 90k. THen on the 15th i got my first crash. Computer restarted and i had a BSOD error. Since then i've had about 8 more crashes, each one the same. Screen goes black and then my computer restarts. sometimes i get a bsod error window when it comes back on, othertimes i don't. Each one is a Kernal-Power 41 Error in the Event log. It has only crashed when playing FFXIV.

I ran the benchmark, no crashes. I leave my computer on all night, no crashes. Yet when i start playing, it will randomly crash. It doesn't matter if the settings are on max or min, if my video card ir under or over clocked. It's not overheating. I've updated and downgraded my videocard drivers with driver sweeper.

None of the crashes seem to be related, I've crashed when walking to a market board in Limsa. I've crashed when first logging in and zoning into my innroom (Never actually getting past the loading screen). Yesterday i went like 7 hours without a crash, so far today i've crashed twice in the last 6.

After trying everything else what had been suggested here, but none working, I found old thread from the 1.0 archives where someone mentioned about issues with some dynamic boost thing with Nvidia GTX cards(I have 670). Then with little googling I found this http://www.overclock.net/t/1267918/g...d-undervolting. Following those instructions, which was basically just that one command for me because I didn't care for the overclock, stopped the crashing and freezing completely. This is something I feel I should not have to do and this is the only game that does this for me, but if it's the only way to stop those freezes for me then I'll do that until it's confirmed to work some other/proper way.

I'm not sure how relevant this is but I also was monitoring when the crashes were still happening and this is what I got and the obvious spike is where the freeze happened

Still crashing after this as well. So far I've tried pretty much everything and I still get system crashes. Really annoying ebcause I want to try doing some more end game stuff but can't at the moment because I don't know when I'll crash and end up leaving a group in the middle of stuff.

I'm also getting BSODs and CTD.

    Intel i7-3770K
    32GB RAM
    Asus GTX780 x2 in SLI
    Windows 8 Pro

I was hoping it was incompatible software so I reinstalled Win8 but no dice.

Full reinstall of the game onto an SSD but still crashing randomly

It should be noted that not all crashes are caused by the same thing.

If underclocking the video card solves the problem, then you had bad/unstable hardware to begin with. If this is the case and the card is less than 1 year old, return/RMA it.

nVidia and AMD are not immune from defects, and unfortunately a bad GPU may not cause problems unless a very specific load is used. Sometimes it's just the RAM on the video card, which won't trip up any bugs in the software until something actually tries to use that chip. Just because a video card has 2GB of memory, doesn't mean the game is going to use it. Right now GPU-Z says FFXIV is using 882MB of the video card. Certain OEM brands are also known to cheat benchmarks ( http://www.tomshardware.com/news/MSI...ion,18013.html ) and as a result lower the life expectancy of the video card.

Not everyone who is crashing is getting the virtualcall error, and if you google search for "virtualcall" and game crash, you'll again get reports of nVidia cards doing this in other games. However the finger gets pointed at the game developer, not the video card vendor.

I may have another solution for people to try. My partner told me that someone elsewhere mentioned attempting to set the FPS limiter to 30, so I tried that, on top of disabling the character/monster/etc physics (pretty much not noticeable anyways).
So far I've played without a freeze for about 3 days, and had various short and long sessions. I'll continue monitoring it, but I can say so far so good. So this might be worth trying out.

Well almost all of my posts here have been in this thread (the others in my own thread I made about this that only got one other reply). I'm not really getting any feedback on what the problem is. It's not the temps, not a driver issue (tried the latest stable, then latest beta and then the newest latests stable for the GTX285), card isn't overclocked or undervolted or anything (and I'm getting the problem still when I try the nvidia inspector method), it's only happening with this one game and only since the final client version (early access. Was fine with Phase 3 and 4). I've had my GPU a few years with no issues, every other game is fine even if played for many many hours at a time.
My system just freezes. All I get is the audio continuing for a bit before just dropping out. Only way to resolve is a reset of the computer. every so often it tells me the system shut down due to a bluescreen though it never shows. All I get is the system freezing on the last rendered frame (both fullscreen and windowed) and I'm unable to alt-tab, move mouse, ctrl alt delete etc. It happens randomly. Sometimes I get good days when I can play for hours, some times it crashes within like 10-15 mins multiple times. Sometimes it crashes once after 30 mins and then is fine immediately after.

The only thing I can think of it being is with the game because I've tried multiple 'fixes' and the standard stuff and I only ever have problems with FFXIV and only since Early Access.

Also tried limiting frame rate in game, lowering settings etc. Still crashes randomly. Only other thing I can think of is to either set my CPU back to stock (which I'd rather not do just for one game when I'm getting great performance and temp out of it due to water cooling) or to try completely new parts.

Well, gave the new drivers a try. Still a no go, still getting BSOD 124. Guess I need to turn on the mini dump again so I can track down what my cause is. I think mine is SLI related though.
