In case it contributes to the conversation, I have this issue too, and I have tried:

--Removing .NET Framework from my system entirely (as the crashes got "worse" after upgrading it past 4
--Rolling back my Intel Graphics Drivers (it's a laptop, so has both Intel and NVIDIA drivers) to the version from earlier this year they recommend for FFXI (which won't work on the newer drivers)
--Moving my NVIDIA Graphics Drivers up to the most recent (August 20) beta for the 540M
--Completely removing the drivers for my Final Fantasy XIV branded Snakebyte game controller
--Turning off hyperthreading
--Turning off Turboboost
--Disabling all background processes other than windows un-removable ones and speedfan
--Disabling the Realtek audio drivers in favor of the factory default
--Disabling my wireless card completely in hardware and plugging into the hardwire port

I am down to the point where I only BSOD or freeze/lock and have to restart about every 3 hours, with the error code split between NVIDIA and Intel Drivers.
