Not sure why, but the cmd isnt working for me, so I followed the guide and did everything it did. Lets hope for the best! This one: nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,2
This however sets the speed lower than what it would be normally, but I'm not confident enough with this thing to start playing around with those numbers myself. It doesn't really affect me anyway because I do use fps cap to help keep my computer whisper quiet. Also you need to do that every time you start your computer. I forgot it once and panicked when I froze again little later, but then I remembered I did forget to use that command before starting, and up to this point I haven't froze otherwise a single time when I have used that.
Do you get any kind of error or just nothing happens? When I first tried it I did it in wrong place and received an error, but then it worked when I did it where the Inspector was installed.
I have yet to have another crash/freeze since I started using that(as long I remembered to use it before starting). It's a crude bandage for me, but I'll take it while waiting for a proper solution.

So I tried to take off the frame limiter, and I got an instant crash. But putting it on I get anywhere between 30 mins to however long I can go.
It says it isn't in the right location, but I don't know what to do to make it the correct location. I know where the inspector folder is, so do I open cmd there?Do you get any kind of error or just nothing happens? EDIT: Ok I got it to work for me, at least I think I did. I ran the command you use, and it popped up a option to run it, so I did of course. Now that I have doe that, do I even need to run Nvidia Inspector, or am I good to go from here? Also when do I have to use this command, is it every time I turn on my computer, or whenever I want to play? I'll post the results on whether this fixes my crash later on!

Just wanted to add my name to the list I have a asus g75vw with a 670m graphics card ever since the game went life i've been having problems. Throughout all of the beta it worked fine but now I can't play more than ten or so minutes and the game crashes my whole computer Im not overtemping i've tried different drivers suggested in this thread and nothing has fixed it but my computer works fine in every other way even playing swtor no issues like this.
As far as I know you don't have to run it separately afterwards, but you can check it from there did it work. You don't have to do it until you start playing, I only use it myself when I play this and for nothing else and also I do set it back to normal once I'm done if I still do something else. I do hope this worked for you as well as it worked for me or anyone else who might have tried.EDIT: Ok I got it to work for me, at least I think I did. Well so far so good, I have yet to crash and I've been going for 3+ hours ow *knock on wood*. When you say you have a shortcut on your desktop, how did you do that? Since I will be using this method to prevent crashes, I would like the easiest way to execute the command for lock speed and then revert to normal. Thanks again for all your help btw!As far as I know you don't have to run it separately afterwards, but you can check it from there did it work. It was in the guide, though I have more simplified ones just containing the two commands. Create the files in the install directory and make shortcuts of them to desktop.Well so far so good, I have yet to crash and I've been going for 3+ hours ow *knock on wood*. Mine are just basically
lock.bat containing: nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,2
and
default.bat containing: nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,16
Sweet I got it working. Thanks again. Lets hope this is a perma fix, until they do it themselves. It was in the guide, though I have more simplified ones just containing the two commands. Create the files in the install directory and make shortcuts of them to desktop.

I'm a little lost on this. The link didn't explain it enough for me. Can you tell me exactly what you did? I'm desperate to fix all the crashing :ODo you get any kind of error or just nothing happens? When I first tried it I did it in wrong place and received an error, but then it worked when I did it where the Inspector was installed.

Basically in the simplest it's just 2 steps.
1.Install NvidiaInspector
2.Run the command where it was installed.
To make it little more convenient, I made shortcuts on my desktop for locking the speed and returning to normal and put them right next to the FFXIV icon so I would remember to use them.
