bump.
till SE resolves this issue
same here. temp ranges from 50-60's...40-60 fps depending on the situation...then sudden black/white screen, or driver crash locking me to 11 fps
I had hopes it would be fixed in this update today but just had to reboot due to black screen with white stripes. Its very annoying and makes the game very hard to play. I set up MSI afterburner to ramp the fans up when temps hit over 60 and that doesn't seem to help at all. Guess I'm going to have to do a fresh OS install and set everything up from scratch to see if it will work. But honestly I doubt it because nothing else manages to crash my PC, stress tests, Far Cry 3, Crysis, GW2 just to name a few...
Don't bother with the OS, it is the game. Most you can do is complain to SE Support with a link to this thread.I had hopes it would be fixed in this update today but just had to reboot due to black screen with white stripes. I have a slightly different system but I've been getting the same issues where the game just locks up. I can't tab out or bring up the Task Manager to end the game. I end up having to do a hard reset which sucks. Now I'm stuck with a 3102 error or the whole NA/EU servers can't freaking load. This is a pain in the rear.

Freezes stopped for me now!
After trying everything else what had been suggested here, but none working, I found old thread from the 1.0 archives where someone mentioned about issues with some dynamic boost thing with Nvidia GTX cards(I have 670). Then with little googling I found this http://www.overclock.net/t/1267918/g...d-undervolting. Following those instructions, which was basically just that one command for me because I didn't care for the overclock, stopped the crashing and freezing completely. This is something I feel I should not have to do and this is the only game that does this for me, but if it's the only way to stop those freezes for me then I'll do that until it's confirmed to work some other/proper way.
I'm not sure how relevant this is but I also was monitoring when the crashes were still happening and this is what I got and the obvious spike is where the freeze happened
