For those having issues with their PC freezing completely, its less than ideal, but if you press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select restart from the power option in the bottom right, then cancel it when it asks you to force restart it seems to get the pc responding again without the need for a reboot. For me it does anyway, this basically forces FFXIV to close and regains me control over the PC.

I get the same every now and again with my PS3. It happened yesterday and today with the Dark Devices FATE and Gogo FATE. I had to force restart my PS3 both times.

I get pure virtual function call errors all the time. It depends on the day -- sometimes i go a few days without seeing it, then some days i can barely stay on longer than 5-10 minutes before a crash. Using Windows 7.

Yeah never mind, i thought blue screen was gone but now its back on my computer :/ i got 3 crashes today in dungeon only.. i changed too full screen but it didn't help. Its really annoying its happening more frequently in boss fights for some reason and not on trash. As said earlier my processor and graphic card is around 50-55 c so its not my comp.. I just cant believe this is still going on after several months, its a very good game its a shame it crashes in situations that is the worst possible time too crash. I don't get it, why dont they use solid codes like all other games? I dont know anything about coding but still this is the ONLY game that behaves this way, i have never ever gotten a blue screen from a game before. Please SE just fix this crap already -_-

Hello all... add me to the list.

I, like many of you poor folks, have been suffering through this horrible condition for quite some time now and should have posted sooner. The problems (mainly blue screens ) have only gotten progressively worse as time went by. After playing the game constantly upon early access and the first week of launch I never had any issues with the games performance or my pc randomly blue screening. It all started slowly with the first one in mid September, now it's so much as 3 times in one hour!

I am out of ideas too, I tried lowering to 30fps, removing the sound driver, using 314.22, I really don't know what else to try or say. Like others my computer is fairly new, I have a nvidia 550, and I ran skyrim and battlefield on max settings with no problems at all. Some days are better than others and overall it's definitely worse now than back when it started. Has anyone made any progress with any other methods besides the ones I listed above? Good luck & Godspeed to all.

Happening to me too. Started a few weeks ago. Used to work fine. Either BSOD reboots machine, FFXIV client crash, or sometimes video goes black for like 15 seconds then game comes back. Can happen anytime and does seem to be getting worse. Does seem to be video related. Wonder if they changed something in one of the recent patches. Settings at High Laptop with Nvidia 580m SLI on Win7. Cards were consistently running around 80c during Fates and such. So I cleaned the fans, downgraded the drivers, lowered in game settings, and disabled overclock on the CPU. Runs about 10 degrees cooler now with about 60 fps but no improvement on crashes. Have run all diagnostics. No errors. Only have problems in this game. Will see if flattening the unit will help this weekend. Will let you know.

Yep same issues as me it just randomly crashes anywhere when in a dungeon now, full screen wont help at all. i also get the 15-30 sec freezes randomly but once the first one started its happening more and more and crashed eventually. I was in Wanderer's Palace just now and freezed 4 times and crashed 1 in one single run .. Its definitely gotten worse after last update, and ofcourse the random blue screens i can get anywhere but they only appear every 1-3 days or something, maybe 2 in a day if im very unlucky.
Im really frustrated now, im going into coil next week and im afraid if it keeps doing that in there... Well then there isn't going too be much playing end game :P I will post here if i get more or less crashes in coil though, but AK seems too be more stable for me or its just randomness, the other day i ran 3 straight runs of AK in borderless without a single freeze or crash.

Its too bad they wont fix this, cause this is a superb game for me and the monk class is very entertaining to play, i don't want too leave game until i have too which means crashes in coil or any end game content..

Using this soft and forcing the GPU and GPU-RAM to run at constant rates/specs solved ALL the problems (and I had constant crashes). Maybe the FFXIV soft doesn't force the GPU to run a full and constant specs...

After trying everything else what had been suggested here, but none working, I found old thread from the 1.0 archives where someone mentioned about issues with some dynamic boost thing with Nvidia GTX cards(I have 670). Then with little googling I found this http://www.overclock.net/t/1267918/g...d-undervolting. Following those instructions, which was basically just that one command for me because I didn't care for the overclock, stopped the crashing and freezing completely. This is something I feel I should not have to do and this is the only game that does this for me, but if it's the only way to stop those freezes for me then I'll do that until it's confirmed to work some other/proper way.

I'm not sure how relevant this is but I also was monitoring when the crashes were still happening and this is what I got and the obvious spike is where the freeze happened

    Hello,

I have fix my crash/BOSD problem with my Asus GTX 770 DirectCu OC by changing Alimentation Mod in Nvidia Control Panel from "Adaptive" to "Maximal Performance". I have tested more than three weeks with no crash.

Recently (11/19), i founded an update of bios for my graphic card, and update nvidia driver to last version WHQL, and let Alimentation Mode to "Adaptive', no crash since this date.
It will be a problem to auto-overclocking with frequency or voltage with 2D/3D mod.

I am having an issue with my laptop shutting down. I am playing on a Toshiba Qosmio X500-14H with an Nvidia Geforce GTX 460M graphics card running windows 7 64-bit. This seems to happen most frequently in West Thanalan while questing. When I check activity logs on my laptop it says it was a Kernel 41-Power Task (63) error. I have monitored temps. I have tried many different driver versions. I can not seem to find a solution. If anyone has a solution or suggestions it would be appreciated.
