Ok everything has been working fine since the last maintenance and that they put a limit on people coming in then I guess they start to lift it slowly and BAM I just got hit with 90k and 1017 there are to many people on. Is there a way to move my character to another sever that I already started or what SE I really don't care if I have to leave all my friends for a month I just want to play. TO MANY PEOPLE!!!!!!


Then they need to take all that MORE PEOPLE= MORE MONEY and add that together and make MORE ROOM this is getting old two days now and the same issue 4xs we had maintenance and still having the same errors!!!!!!!!!!

Don't even complain about too many people, because that just doesn't make sense. More people = servers stay up, company makes more money, we get more and more content.

less people = company loses money, servers are eventually shut down for good.

Having "too many people" is a good excuse for them to increase the server capacity.

I'd be happy to sit in a que of 10000 over the 1017 world full message. Least then I wontbget the NA/EU list wont load message after so many trys

The problem isn't "to many people". The problem is too few servers. 25 servers for the entirety of the Americas and Europe is obscene, especially when Japan gets 25 all to itself. They need to add AT LEAST a dozen more servers between NA and Europe to relieve the crushing congestion. Someone at SE dropped the ball hard. They knew from the pre-orders exactly how many people in NA/EU were going to be logging in for Early Access and still rolled out half as many servers as necessary. No amount of Emergency Maintenance Band-Aids are going to fix the underlying problem that there are more people trying to play than they have servers to accommodate.

we pay for early access, yet since EA started i've played.... 4hrs max? lol i could have played on the 27th for free.... im not even one to complain usually. when i couldnt play gilga on p4 i didnt complain. but it sucks that i woke up made my char on gilga at 5amEST yesterday and now its full today and i cant play my char?

Early access should be thought of like a beta 5, honestly. It's the first time their servers are pushed to the max and it's the same for all MMO"s. You didn't pay for early access (or if you did, you got ripped off), if you're having problems and don't want to deal with it, turn off your PS3/PC, and don't turn it back on until Tuesday. If things are still this bad, then please, feel free to complain.

As for the too many people...I agree that too many people = a good thing in the long run. 25 servers for day 1 for 2 regions is pretty damn good, it's the servers they're using that are the problem it would seem. Actually, not even the servers for characters, but their login servers. That was the problem with the instances and that's the problem with what we're getting today.

I'm frustrated because I can't play much during the week, but I realize how much work they are putting into this game this weekend and trying to get it ready for Tuesday.

Actually, yes, everyone did pay for Early Access. I really wish MMO apologists would stop trotting out this tired excuse. That $30 that I gave SE 2 months ago when I pre-ordered? It could've been sitting in my bank account until the 27th earning me interest. Instead, it's been sitting in SE's bank account along with everyone else's money earning THEM interest. In exchange for that, the agreement was that we would gain the ability to play 3 days earlier than those who held onto their cash. Early Access isn't some generous gift from SE or any other company, and it being treated like an additional beta phase should absolutely not be tolerated.

As for these issues being a "normal" part of an MMO launch, it's not 1999 anymore. It's not even 2004 anymore. It's 4 months shy of 2014, and developers/publishers no longer have an excuse for not anticipating these sorts of issues and planning accordingly to deliver uninterrupted service to their customers, especially for P2P MMOs and extra-especially from a company like SE that has previously launched two other MMOs and apparently never learned from past mistakes.

EA isn't another beta phase, and should not be viewed as such. EA means that the game is ready for launch, and that certain people have been allowed to play before the rest of the world can get their hands on it. Calling it another beta phase, is an ignorant thing to say.
