I have to say though, I'm honestly amazed at how long people are willing to defend FFXIV. I mean, I was one of them... but at this point, it's just become pure blind following....

Eh anyway. I do feel English speakers are left to last, but I assume so are the French and Germans as well. Wished we could all be updated at the same time.

You're amazed because you're likely the type that see logic as defending. I've yet to see anyone defend FFXIV, people, in general, as based on polls, agree the game needs to be redesigned.

How is that defending? I'd love to see the answer.

I meant "defending" as in this game has so much content and there have been lots of improvements in the past 7 months. (For example). Because that is what I've read people say in the forum. Isn't that defending a game that is lacking?The FFXIV community is divided at the moment. Yay-FFXIV, and dissapointed-FFXIV.

Edit: and the people that are yay-ffxiv will defend ffxiv no matter what it's about. content, gameplay, etc.

Actually it's not, most people want to see the game change. The "yay-ffxiv" people are just sick of all the useless whining.

Just becuase I find threads like this pure crap doesn't mean I'm defending XI, I'm just sick of seeing this dead horse beat beyond recognition.

They might be sick of the useless whining, but in return people become sick of the "yay-FFXIV". Guess it's an evil circle.

And who are these "yay-FFXIV" people? Outside of about a handful of people I've seen everyone is welcoming most of the changes happening.

Never said no one is welcoming the changes though. When I said yay-FFXIV I meant people that think FFXIV is great just the way it is now, but don't mind changes either.

I think you're interpreting "yay-ffxiv" wrong. The people you think are fanboys are just more patient and understanding than others. I know the game isn't perfect and I don't support it in its current state but I have no need to create 50 topics over the same thing. Especially since I know they're working hard on revamping multiple systems. We just have to patient, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I think you're doing the right thing, play Rift/some other game, then come check out FFXIV when they update the battle system and go from there.

Exactly u say yay-ffxiv i say blind extremist this is exactly the fact.

No matter what the topic the ones with the collars on will bark like hell if anything is said about the poor state of this game.

Its funny to me so i poke at them, they get pissed, hilarious.

Lmfao, really in 20 mins you can see that taking a job to 50 in this game is grueling, not because u have to grind, grinding is fine in my book if its fun with a class you love and friends to do it with, but because the fighting and classes in this game are made of all kinds of last dude in 100 man gbng fail.

I wont waste time lvling these hybrid classes in hopes that the system will be fixed soon and classes worth playing with a fun battle system is coming.

Yeah a couple of threads I've been in, seems like your opinion is only valid if you have at least ONE rnk 50. My highest is 30... simply because I couldn't log on and do the same leves over and over again. Even if you go to another city, you still get stuck with the same ones. (If you've done them there before).

So I'm taking a break from FFXIV. Playing Rift to pass time while I wait for FFXIV. Whatever time I've got left, I spend here at the forum. Simply to see what the community is saying and what's going on.

I don't know if I've made an excuse until the delay for patches as a result of the recent crisis in Japan. But what I've said is there was no excuse for releasing XIV in almost the same state XI was in it's first year, they should of learned from there mistakes. People used to go "oh well XI didn't have that in its first year", wtf, well even more then XIV should of had this. Anima for getting unjankified I understand, what about other transportation for those of us who want it, and another city besides the three main cities sometime within the first year of release. That's all I really wanted :/ I know that programming is hard, but literally that's all I still want. Eff content if I have a chocobo (don't quote me on that, if they came out with content tomorrow I might be like "eh no way cool")

Not to mention the giant mistake for forgetting to add an item search? I still don't understand how they managed that...
I mean can you imagine the meeting? "I don't think we should have an item search for players!, "me neither, it's not that important at the beginning of the game anyway."
I think they rushed FFXIV release.
