To be fair XI and XIV have a large spanish speaking fanbase in latin america and the U.S. (I'm not hispanic but I've met many people who play this game and might have an easier time communicating on a forum setting in spanish) but there is no Spanish forums on the official XI forums (a joke at this point) and the official XIV forums. Some people get under represented, the people who gripe about this hardest must not have something bigger to worry about. Obviously Yoshi-P and staff have been working irregular hours due to the blackouts and such, just because Americans have forgotten about the earthquake doesn't mean it isn't still affecting the lives of the Japanese, especially since there was another earthquake/aftershock (depends on source) just recently. In my opinion everyone who only knows one language is not diverse, and there should be a move to learn other languages.

I just read a recent article stating Japan is having troubles with English teachers in japan (people who are japanese and speak english, not those from England), there are moves to teach kids english in 5th and 6th grade stating , "they want it to be a passion not a study", so wait until FFXXI or w/e, those wizkidz will be replying in English first because they'll be anglophiles like we're japanophiles now.
