yeah I've noticed its all EU servers, was able to play for around 6 hour before things got silly and i was being disconnected and unable to play again, yet this morning its a bit beyond silly now as all EU servers are either locked down or not accepting new characters >.>

I missed the beta but glad I sort of played a bit yesterday.

This is a popcount restriction that is based on the total number of people currently logged into the given world.

There is no way for a queue system to work in this case, since the queue system is just to limit the amount of people accessing chardata at once.

I don't know about you but I played a lot of MMOs that had a working queue in conjunction with a population limit for the servers as well as actual player limit.
If the population cap is reached character creation is suspended.
If the realm is full then you can still log in with an existing character and stay at your current queue location until spots get free on the realm and the queue starts to move again.
The reason for queues is to give people a forecast when they are able to log onto a congested realm. The current state is simply a full server without any queue at all. You get on by luck and that’s that.

A lot of MMOs also kick AFK players and allow disconnected players to jump the queue all together upon fast relog.
Something FFXIV:ARR isn’t doing as well.

The current situation is lame and should be dealt with and not by petty excuses.

Edit: I'm not complaining that I can't play due to full servers. I'm complaining that I can't get into a queue to orderly get onto a full server and play.

Let me think, you're gonne invest into server ?
So for Early Server you didn't plan to buy extra servers to be deploy in 2/3h if needed.

If if you must buy 400% servers to be able to handle the first month and then sold 300% servers if there is a serious drop as in any mmo YOU must do it as this has nothing to do with us cutomers.

And cutsomer must never be impact, or the less possible of a insufficient hardware invest.
