if you where playing atm, you where one of the lucky few, now join us that we cant even log.... btw it seems they let same people log and then kick them out so ppl wont complaint massive scale.... well played....
make some no1z....
Looks like all EU servers are blocked (aka full). All I can do is make a new character on a NA or JP World... does tend to put a dip in ones initial enthusiasm when you have to immerse yourself into a new story line rather than your mains.
Ah well, what can you do... just another EA error filled day.
"He was a bastion against the darkness, a tower that rose high above the evil that surrounded him"
This is even worse than beta4... Since EA start already lost about 6h of possible playtime, and another 3h was severly crippled...
Square, get yourselves in gear and sort it out. And if you are then bloody communicate with us so we feel like we aren't in the dark here.
I'm getting the 1017 error like everyone else, I don't mind waiting in queues, but I despise being completely unable to get into the game and play my character.
By the time Early Access is over, I will of got virtually nothing done to what I had planned, and I'm sure im not the only one. It's very frustrating to think we pre ordered, putting faith in the game and we're basically just paying / pre ordering to beta test the game for you again. It's not right.
In my opinion EA players need some compensation - like 3 days bonus game time to their 1 month with the game, as a gesture of good will. The game is brilliant, but the ability to get on the game is just taking the biscuit. never had so much trouble getting onto an mmo before and I've been playing them for around 15 years now.
I have been trying for over a hour and a half now and still cant get into Cerberus...Very annoying it wont even let me queue..Beta access was better than this not happy![]()
This is a popcount restriction that is based on the total number of people currently logged into the given world.
There is no way for a queue system to work in this case, since the queue system is just to limit the amount of people accessing chardata at once.
I don't know about you but I played a lot of MMOs that had a working queue in conjunction with a population limit for the servers as well as actual player limit.
If the population cap is reached character creation is suspended.
If the realm is full then you can still log in with an existing character and stay at your current queue location until spots get free on the realm and the queue starts to move again.
The reason for queues is to give people a forecast when they are able to log onto a congested realm. The current state is simply a full server without any queue at all. You get on by luck and that’s that.
A lot of MMOs also kick AFK players and allow disconnected players to jump the queue all together upon fast relog.
Something FFXIV:ARR isn’t doing as well.
The current situation is lame and should be dealt with and not by petty excuses.
Edit: I'm not complaining that I can't play due to full servers. I'm complaining that I can't get into a queue to orderly get onto a full server and play.

I'm in love with the game but this is getting really irritating this is meant to be early access not another beta phase![]()
For what i see the problem is mainly with EU servers in general and odin in particular. So why not open another 1-2 EU server with a mass transfer?
Seeing same issue with Ragnarok.
If we're hitting the population cap now, next week will be "interesting"..
