Stuck while gathering

I got stuck while gathering as a botonist. Went to cut some logs and I had hit "start" to open the main menu. It made the gathering list disappear, I wasn't able to re-open it or perform any other actions. The only way that I was able to back out of it was by using "select" to untoggle the triangulate skill. I know I could always just do that again, but even so they should fix this to allow you to re-open the gathering list. I know it took me a minute to get out, other players would likely struggle similarly. Can anyone confirm this to occur with mining.
