Cannot post in the forum other in tech?

Why cant I post in other parts of the forum? I am a subscriber, I bought the game, and I dont understand what my level has to do with anything?

It's to prevent new players (or non-players) spamming up the forums with stupid questions that have already been answered a thousand times before. While I can see the benefit of this, I'm still not sure what I think about it, but that's just the way it is. I guess if you really want to post on the forums you'd best get your character up to level 50 lol

That means these forums are worthless for alot of players, and the community would have to form elsewhere for normal forum needs.

This is a real shame...I know that people get a little too crazy and post way to much but this is not the way to do it. It allows me 4 posts per day???? Wow!

Yes and no. It means that there will be a lot less duplicate threads (except for here in the technical support section), which means that finding actual answers to issues will be a lot easier as there are so many less threads to search through. Since people so often don't bother searching at all and just create new threads, asking the same questions, then yes, those people will go to another forum where they can spam new threads to ask dumb questions, but is that really such a bad thing?

Asking questions usually means you will learn. Having an environment that encourages learning is a good thing. This forum is an environment that doesnt encourage asking questions, and therefor all new players are at the mercy of other people already having asked the thing they wonder about. This is a bad thing.

The more you talk, the more I'm liking what they've done. Have you never been on super busy forums where the same question is asked so many times that it stops being answered? Then when other people try and do the right thing and search for an answer before posting, all they find are the more recent duplicate threads with no answers, so THEY make a new thread too and the problem compounds. If you don't like how the official forums are run, go to some other forum with even more duplicate threads, god knows I've seen the same questions/complaints posted repeatedly on these forums enough as it is.
