    Account woes! *Not all bashing*

Ok, so I went through a lot of pages and I can't seem to find anyone with my exact set of problems.

Problem #1 - I have a FF14 1.0 CE PC version that I played 90 days. Did not receive EA code for it. Played Beta 3 & 4 ARR.

Problem #2 - Pre-ordered PS3 edition so I can cross-platform when the kids are asleep upstairs. Logged in with my SE account saw my service account #1 click it and hit apply. It immediately created a new service account labeled Service account 2. My 1.0 & B3/4 character are not on service account 2. Made a character on the new account so I could access the new lodestone. Kept getting message on lodestone say I had no characters. Final got to log into the new load stone and this is what I see.

As you can see it indicates my character are still there just on service account one which says expired for some odd reason. Ok now to go to SE: Account Management.

Hmmmm, thats funny my account on FF1SA appears to be fully active. I can play fine on PS3 but if I try on PC or try SA1 on PS3 it says not configured.

So here is the overall problem! The pre-order EA code ONLY applies to the PS3 version it WILL NOT reactive your 1.0 PC version. This was never indicated in any documentation.

Since customer support is so swamped I have been waiting about 4 days now no response to get this fixed. It's seriously like 10 clicks to just reactivate and merge the two accounts.

Problem #3 - During the merge from 1.0 to ARR my Legacy character got put on a EU server even though I am NA. I requested during the beta time to get transferred to cacutar. Never received response on that either. *Kinda a minor annoyance*

    So there's my issues!

I would like to point out, I am very grateful that this game was remade to be a true FF game. I own all copies of every game even the JP ones. I think that you guys did a great job on redesigning the game and keeping the 1.0 supporters involved. Although there are some hiccups as stated above I understand and WILL still be subscribing and playing ARR. I realize SE is working hard to merge two systems to work together, the PS3 store and the SEAM system. Keep up the updates and good work. Hopefully once release happens on Tuesday all my problems will be solved because my 1.0 CE edition should then defiantly be reactive.

To all the other snotty players out there, EA is not a right you pre-ordered the game that will be releases on Tuesday Aug. 27th 2013. If you are a true gamer or even an intelligent person you realize that EA is the time to smooth out the congestion problems and server issues in the final live client before the big day. EVERY GAME that has used EA has had issues and down time. DO NOT say this game is crappy because you can't connect or play early. This game was redefined well and is fun to play. The imagery and special effects are awesome too. To all those people who say the game is too easy, just wait and see the beginning is to teach you the mechanics, team play, and area familiarization. End game is where it's at. I have a few high level friends from the old days playing again.

Well, didn't you make a bit of a mess.

OK, when you registered your PS3 code, you should have done so on the website made specially. Then, going to your ps3 you should have linked it to your existing account. This would have given you one service account, I know this as this is what I did, and I'm playing the same character on the same service account on PS3 and PC. As for your characters being on an EU server... hmm yeah, that might be an issue, and if you get a helpful Customer services person when they get to your ticket you might get it all resolved. Here's hoping for you.

Right next point, no one likes a suck up, even those on the receiving end. Though yes, they've done good work on merging PS3 and PC clients into one big immersive whole. I'll happily give them props for that. Well done.

I'll disagree about EA, it was part of the offer, which people took. You get an offer on a car, you don't expect it not to be there when you get the car, same as anything else. Giving examples of poor customer service by the mmo industry in general changes nothing except make them all look equally useless. That said, if you can get passed the nightmare of getting on to the servers, and assuming you don't get kicked with the 90K or one of the other errors, and assuming you've even got your EA code or the PSN store has got the license worked out for you, or well, any of the other roadblocks didn't affect you, then yes, once you actually get in the game is quite fun.... if you ignore the fact that half the stuff quoted as being there is still missing in action.

When you order through PSN store you just download it and when you start it for the first time you log in through SEAM system and then add it to your account. Like I said there were no options to change it just auto created the second account. You don't get a CD-key either its all handled server side with no viewing access to your code.

Ahh. Fair enough. Pre-ordered mine through Game.co.uk. Had zero issues apart from the fun of getting the first code to work due to the lack of back end support for the website. Once I got my EA code registered, everything else was plain sailing.

Downloaded the game, logged in, attached it to my existing SE service account and went from there.

Can only suggest that for the PSN pre-orders, pre-empting the auto create by linking the accounts first was probably the only way to avoid that... if even then. But then this is all 20/20 vision after-the-event brain storming of 'what-ifs'. Doesn't help the current situation, though it does tell me never to pre-order an MMO through PSN without making damn sure of the back end sequence of events to get it all linked up right.
