Is the game somewhat unoptimized?

I haven't read any complaints from others on this subject.
I run this game on an i5-4670K, GTX660, 16GB RAM, 250GB SSD - have not had any framerate issues outside of the random TDRs (Timeout Detection and REcovery) I do run into some heating issues as at times my cooling system on the GTX660 goes into overdrive, producing clacking sounds as the heat pipes vibrate from increased RPMs from the 2 on-board fans. I plan to address this by adding additional air intake (I have only 1 fan at the front of the case and plan to double that) Otherwise, motherboard and CPU temps are nominal, maybe the PSU is running a bit warmer.
Everyone needs to make sure they have updated BIOS for their motherboard if their system is unstable (unexplained sudden reboots-system shutdown, for example) Also make sure you run a complete virus scan. Updated drivers for audio components as well as your graphics card is a must. If you own a PC, then it falls on your shoulders to make sure you maintain it, and that means both in the virtual sense as well as the physical (e.g., clean up dust build-up)
