Ok from what I think to be happening is the server isnt actually at max capacity, rather queue error that is happening is preventing ppl from creating. This is totally unconfirmed but I tried making a new character on excalibur at 5am and it allowed me to do so. so perhaps try getting your firends to create their characters when there arent a lot of ppl on. It looked as though the traffic was very very low around 4/5 am est. after the maintenance. Try it out, really hoping it works. gl everyone. Other than this issue the game has been a blast so far.

lol finally someone noticed that. This account is an American account but I've pre-ordered an EU access code so they can't be used together and I only just realized that only a few days ago.

If SE would just tell me that they would be giving us another set of code to enter to receive the early access and pre-order bonus, I wouldn't be having this issue right now. I thought putting the pre-order code into my account at square-enix.com was enough
