JP gets 25 servers, the rest of the world gets 25 too?

Perhaps SE was a bit over ambitious to make FFXIV a smash hit in Japan and forgot about the rest of the world. If you count up JP servers vs. the rest of the worlds servers, the numbers are equal. Why? Are JP servers experiencing the same load issues the rest of the world is experiencing? Not going to sit here and scream bias crap like others have been. I simply am curious as to why one country gets the same number of servers as the rest of the world?

Japan also has double the NA Population. Not only that, but Final Fantasy is A LOT bigger in japan than NA/EU, therefore, Japan gets more servers to keep up with the amount of players that Japan has.

Show me some supporting data to back up your claim. Not being argumentative. I understand FF's popularity in JP, but you are vastly underestimating its popularity in EU and NA.

You really ask that on a public forum? It is a huge franchise in japan, which has a much larger population than our own, and they added those servers during beta 4 because of the demand.

Do I really need too? It is quite obvious, how many people do you think play this game? How many do you think play this game for NA, and now how about EU? Now think about this, how many do you think play in Japan?

Just an FYI, the issue is not with the world servers. The worlds are working beautifully. The issue is with the shared Duty Finder server. Japan does NOT have a larger overall population and that's part of why they aren't experiencing the same problems. The entirety of NA/EU goes through the same Duty Finder and JP gets one to themselves.

I ask it because I have friends playing on JP servers and they are having 1/4 of the issues the NA/EU servers are having. Japan has a total population of less than 130 million people vs. the rest of the world. I don't care how popular it is in one country. The demand from the other parts of the world can/will be just as heavy.

This is my point and thank you for posting it. Why is the rest of the world going through one data center while one country gets their own?
