Grinding GSM 40-50 in 12 hours

Just wanted to throw it out there that I went from Lv40 to Lv50 on my goldsmith today. It took 12 hours, and these hours include mining for all the materials to do so.

At 48, I put on my felt gear and spent 30 minutes mining amber then crafting it into HQ gems. After that I spent another 15 minutes making enough HQ amber electrum circlets to turn in tradecraft leves (100,000xp per turn-in) to 50. The entire experience was pretty gratifying, going from 48 to 50 in under 5 minutes.

The point? How do all of you feel about this? I will admit there is a twinge of sadness in the back of my head that it took me 2 months from 1-40 in 1.0 then 12 hours in 2.0 to reach the end. The accomplishment feels a bit shallow. But hey, I still did it! =P

I mined an HQ Basilisk Egg and HQ'd an Electrum Needle. I felt quit accomplished.

To the topic: As someone who did a lot of DoH/L grinding in 1.0, I'm glad to see this. As crafting is a supplement, it shouldn't be an obnoxious chore.

For me I don't have the time to spend my life on the game however I have to admit that I don't care what anyone says. This game is way to easy. Maybe some of these dungeons aren't but wtf. If that is all that is difficult then even without the time to grind I probably won't stay to long. I do love the world and the stories. Just find it ridiculous that I have gone 20 lvls without dying once.

Not everyone has a need to spend countless hours to feel accomplished. People have other ways to achieve that too.

I'm at 30 GSM and its good to know I can achieve 50 in a timely manner

It means im gonna go finish off weaver if it is that ez to lvl crafts so I can finally have them all 50, but it will make my others feel a little tainted

That I will lvl all my jobs (land/fight) in 1 month before they starts to bill me, in worst case 2 months. Time to think what others mmo are there that I need to complete and move on.

If the only thing you want to do in an MMO is level the classes, you will be disappointed in every current MMO on the market. The goal is end game, that is where the new and dynamic content they create ends up. Or, novel idea, you could take your time instead of rushing through things.
