How to join a party?

Hi all, sorry for all the questions lately. I'm entirely new to MMO's and was wondering how joining a party is done/how it works.

Normally you'd be able to open up the duty panel and join through the duty finder but there's some, shall we say, technical difficulties ATM..

So individual players join parties based on the availability of duties? Is it possible to play through the game solo?

there is some quest and events that solo play is not possible. the duty finder is available if you need to do those quests and dont have a party available through friends, ls, random players, etc... if you have have friends or someone you want to party with, you can send them a party invite by targeting and bringing up the options by selecting them.
