Will It Be Possible to Change a Character's Birthday and Deity Down the Road?

Does anyone know or could a Dev comment if there are any plans on letting players change their character's birthday and/or deity that they chose upon character creation?

I know the item Phial of Fantasia, with the description "Legend states that any who drink this mysterious liquid before lying down for the evening will awaken a new man (or woman). Grants you a single opportunity to edit your appearance in the character creation screen upon your next login," will exist in game. You'll be able to get it as part of the Veteran Rewards for subscribing to the game for 30 days. And the Barbershop will be coming in a patch soon after launch. But from my understanding both of these only allow you to change the physical characteristics of a character, right?

Iirc when I changed my legacy char it let me change everything. But not sure if it will be the same how this works.

I'm not certain if anybody's tried the item yet, but I know the phial of fantasia lets you select an entirely new gender and race when you next login. There is a high chance it uses the same system as for the Legacy chars. So, it should let you change everything. It's not guaranteed however. Your best bet is probably to find someone unsatisfied with their char who will try the item out anyway. I'd volunteer to change my legacy again (not happy with her appearance at all), but there's little point in me pre-ordering since I can't play the game until 2 weeks from now anyway.

If you can wait, I'll post the results when I use it. Otherwise, if there's any other volunteers...

Does anyone know if the birth date affects anything? The deity I am guessing gives you more of an "affinity" with various elements, but I don't understand what the birthday does.

Birthday does nothing but be a birthday

Yeah, the birthday is just that as far as I know too. I noticed something that made me think the deity might affect the story-line a little bit and how you interact with NPCs. Tell me if you think I'm on to something.

I chose the deity Thaliak which is the guardian deity of Sharlayan. I started out in Ul'dah and Thancred is involved in the story-line there. In one of the missions my character made a comment to Thancred about his homeland Sharlayan which surprised the NPC because he didn't reveal that detail about himself. Maybe I'm just seeing things but your deity choice might have a slight affect on how you are received in the world, something beyond the small elemental bonus/resistance. What do people think about this possibility?
