May be faster to grind, but it's more enjoyable to do quests... at least for me.

If it's as the OP is describing, this has "not intended" written all over it in big bold letters. It'll be a good test to see how the devs react.

i been saying people will have a 50 in the first week. but people always want to disagree with logic. you level fast in this game.

NA/EU would have the same if we could have the servers running without always error'ing out

    OPs logic is flawed

How does this prove that grinding is the fastest way?
With no ability to do content for most of the day, we have Arcanists in their thirties. You have to believe, given adequate playtime they might have been 42+ (who haven't played since 11am est. And that is with Dungeon, Guildhest, FATE, quests.
Honestly, I still don't see grinding being the fastest option.
Also doing the well rounded approach doesn't require a static party, and rewards armor, alleviating the need for a new player to have to buy or make their own, considering a brand new player who chose to just grind would have very little gil.

    Lastly, what happens 45+???
Where are the 8-10 levels ahead MOBs... You know where they are? In dungeons... would have been nice to have done the quests leading up to all the dungeons... huh?

Leveling should be a part of the whole long term MMO experience but people rush it. Then those that don't rush it don't want it to take "to long" to get to max level.

Personally I think it should take months if not a year to reach the max level of a game.

Agreed i think yoshi should either decrease the exp gain or keep the gain but increase the amount of exp required to gain a level , with this fast exp gain i keep thinking that the story of this game is too short which is a bad thing imo, hopefully they add more story content in the future if what i fear is correct

I find it hard to believe grinding is fastest since 1. We have tried it and there is a clear cap on regular mobs even 10 over level. It was to slow. once rested exp expires, it is useless.

If you pstion yourself in the right camps doging main scenreo, fates, and leves, you will level very quickly. Fates are fast for an easy 6k+ exp (at same or highest you are allowed more). Add in your quests at moderate levels are giving more exp then killing 1 mob at a 400exp per 2 seconds.

you need to kill 35+ mobs at 400exp each in the same time with less people. The average kll time for 2 mobs per half minute at the highest max exp would be 4800 exp per minute. most fates even jumping in fast spending 1 minute gives some jobs 6-10k. Higher fates more. level 40 fates 40k
Main scenereo quests vary from 6-30k. reglar quests some long some short vary as well, but you are gaining exp off each mob solo still reaching an exp cap if done right.

Other fact. While you are in a camp pulling mobs, you are not enjoying and fiishing your missions. So you have to go back and do them all. Rather then leveling off mobs while doing them, geettign bonus exp for the quests at the right level (or by being lower) Maximizing leves and doing them solo +4 or max above level). Leves don't receive an un-rested penalty.

So? I dont quest, fate, etc because I thought it was fastest way. Its because grinding makes me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork coated in hot sulfuric acid!
