When is Square Enix going to start taking the state of the game seriously?

No it doesn't, because the "challenge" and "fun" of finding one NPC out of 100 NPC's in any given town/area is gone. Man, I loved the thrill of speaking to every single NPC just to progress the story, not to mention the excitement of having to hunt each weapon, armor and ingredient from separate shops in separate towns.

I too found 'fun' in speaking with all the NPCs in FFXI to come to know lore of the zone. Most enjoyable was the Tav. safehold, right after getting access from prommy fights. The thing is many find this tedious, whereas very few can argue against a beautifully rendered cutscene (i.e. FFXIII), that serves to perfectly detail the current situation. Even the datalogs as earlier mentioned were a perfect backup for recalling past events. The voices reinforce the storyline and immerse the player beyond a generic 'chatlog'.

tl;dr FFXIII is stupidly ridiculed for tweaking a long standing formula.

60% of GM don't even play the game i know this for a fact from FFXI. Some know that game by heart and have there own account. But the problem this is there job there not allow to break from the rules that there giving. I knew of one GM that was in whitegate and talk all day with players i guess he was quiting the job and ended up having some fun before that lol.

But ya there not allow to talk like others

@Ostia: GM in FFXI make what 13$ a hour i think website ppl are making around 7-10$ a hour for copy/paste for a part time job

Despite our repeated warnings that posts were being made in this thread that were unrelated to the purpose of the forum and thread, the situation has not changed.

Players have the right to express their displeasure about aspects of the game as they see fit, and while we wish that everyone enjoyed everything about the game, that will never be the case. Please refrain from personally attacking each other over opinions, positive or negative. This is a place to share opinions so that Final Fantasy XIV can grow and develop with your input.

In regards to "Trolls," the best response is to report them to the Moderators and ignore them on the boards. The definition of a Troll is someone that posts just to cause an uproar of responses which slowly leads to chaos, disorder, and arguments. Responding to players who are "trolling" often makes the situation worse.

Also keep in mind that one person's "Troll" might be another person's honest opinion or question. Accusing others of being a troll can sometimes be considered a form of trolling itself, as it often leads to personal attacks and the derailment of productive threads.

I hope these are things we can keep in mind in the future.
