Wow then im lucky i didnt pay the same in € that would be like 10 dollar more.
But honestly i can understand what He meant, many people expected much from XIV because of the "Evolution" of FFXI.
And in the end it wasnt worth to even compare.
But I think SE is taking this very seriously.
Team change and i dont think SE has the time to do even this but they are risking it.
They Re-designing one or most of the Core elements of the game, insted of just add Content, wich I think is better.

Him and thousands of other people. As a business, Square Enix has an obligation to provide a satisfactory service to its consumers. And it isn't just an investment of money, it's also an investment of time spent playing. So yeah, they do owe us something. Thought that much was obvious, but apparently not.

I see, so buying a product doesn't mean you can expect it to be actually what its meant to be. I'll start selling television boxes pretending there are televisions inside. Instead i'll place smaller cardboard boxes insides, painted like televisions. After all, if what you say is true, i will owe nothing to my customers.

People are still crying about "I paid for this game"?
Seriously? Am I the only one that seen this coming a mile away when CE was going to go live 8 days after open beta closed?

Don't complain about paying for a game thats still up, active, and playable.
I paid 90$ (60 + 30$ of in game cash) for APB and It was dead and unplayable in 2 months. And I recieved no compensation for the transaction. Steam will not refund it, and EA refuses to acknowledge they ever published it. And as far as I can tell the new owners of the IP who have it in closed beta testing are doing nothing for old owners yet eitther.
I'm hoping if they have a premium service people who bought the game get it free for at least a year. But I'm not keeping my hopes up at all.
So again. Do not complain because you still have access to the game you paid for. I don't.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

To be honest, I'm not really that mad at the developers of this game, but I really think Square Enix (as a company) needs to pull its act together.
I bought the Collectors Edition D; I hope people who bought the game and stayed with them.. (sort of) through it get some sort of recognition.

SE is obliged to do absolutely nothing. If they want to generate profit they should provide satisfactory service, but they don't have to provide that service to you. They can simply ignore you and focus on being sure that the service is satisfactory to the PS3 users. They can simply shut down the service if they don't think they can profit from it. You, as a customer, made a poor investment, and that is not up to SE to fix.As a business, Square Enix has an obligation to provide a satisfactory service to its consumers.
You got exactly what you bought, and to this day the service has been down for only two weeks. Square-Enix did not lie to you, you chose to be an uninformed customer and bought a shitty game. It's your fault, not theirs. Your expectations aren't worth crap.I see, so buying a product doesn't mean you can expect it to be actually what its meant to be.
"Hey, I expected that this TV could go back in time but it didn't! I want my money back!"
"Hey, Sony, your TV's have always been good but this one isn't for some reason! I could have waited for reviews to come out but I bought it anyway! This is your fault, Sony!"
You disgust me.

The logic of your post become more laughable as the days go bye. I see why you're so readily ridiculed on these boards.SE is obliged to do absolutely nothing.
