I find the ps3 version to be pretty good considering. I do seem to be having alot of delay in my attacks when I'm in high populated areas. The targeting can be a bit tricky but you get used to it after a while. Overall I'm loving it but the ps4 version is gonna be sweet

I'm in this boat - my laptop can't run much of anything, especially for long play sessions.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well this controls on PS3. Not perfect, but not the cluttered mess I thought it would be. Wish it had voice chat for linkshells (don't really wanna hear some of the chatter if the general text chat is any indication of it), but I'm using a crappy Bluetooth keyboard and managing.

Does anyone know if SE will allow PS3 subs to upgrade to the PS4 version (hopefully for free)?

I played 1.0 on my laptop but have switched to PS3 for ARR. personally I'm glad I did. I find it a lot more easier to control my character and the hot bars/cross bars feel more intuitive to me personally (I'm predominately a console gamer). I agree that high end PCs will play it better graphics wise and as soon as its out on PS4 ill be getting that day one.

I agree that the chat box is too small and I haven't found a way to make it larger/move it like the rest of the HUD but ill try again later. Also the targeting can be tricky at times, especially in FATES where there is a lot of monsters but I believe you can customise the controls to be more selective so I'll look into that as well.

I use a keyboard for chat so no issues there (and if I get really desperate I can plug in my mouse and use a standard PC control setup). I agree that guild members and people in raids will need a Bluetooth headset for PC program's like TS and Mumble etc but I'm sure that wont be an issue.

You can make the chatbox larger (I believe press triangle while it's selected), but it kinda takes up all the HUD and it's not practical when you're actually playing the game. I used it when I was stuck at the stump to see if I could wait out the instance.

L1+R3 to turn it into a mouse, Right Stick to move it to the upper right corner of the chatbox, L2 to click (hold), and drag it to the desired size.

I've yet to encounter a single problem on PS3, and the graphics look way better than on my old laptop.

I got a wireless keyboard with a mouse touchpad built in, very handy!

But don't order it from that site, I got that exact one for 34.99 at a local business supply store.

Fates are impossible on PS3 for me right now. I get in, can't target anything because of a delay, then my attacks are delayed, enemy dies, rinse/repeat. FATE ENDS - YOU GET 200EXP and 1 GIL!.

I really love it, it's really easy to get used to if you properly use everything it can offer. On the down side, if a particular area is congested, say 40 people in a FATE, there are times the target monsters will disappear because the PS3 can only load 20~ish people at a time (someone said it back in beta), so the more populated the server, the harder to play the PS3. Seriously I remember Tanking Lazy Lawrence and man oh man he suddenly disappeared on me and all I can see are players.

I thought it was hard to play during FATE systems with the PS3. Especially when you're switching from one enemy to another. Usually by the time I switch to the next enemy, it's dead.

I agree with Koop. Switch the game to the PS4 and I'll guarantee that the game will run smoothly than the PS3. But nonetheless impressed with how the game turned out in the PS3.
