
LOL really??? Um thank you for your insightful, completely unrelated to the topic commits. Go forum police...My PS3 registration went just fine. it asked me what account to add the pre-order and in game items to (I had 2 service accounts from v1 beta and v1 game purchase). I selected my service and was done. I know it's frustrating but it is a minority of people that are having problems with registration and logging in (I know this because I can log in and play just fine and see all the people camping the same mobs, it's insane in there...).
Unrelated, huh? you're crying that you're game is broken and acting like it's the end of the world. fact is, it isn't the end of the world and just because there are a lot of people having problems on the forums, there are far many more that aren't having problems. Launching an MMO is a kinda difficult.
SE has had horrible communication with players from the beginning of XI so I wouldn't expect anything different now (try finding a support phone number). Should they have a community liaison like most MMOs (Especially the mass produced copy/paste korean games), absolutely.
That said, they know there is a problem. They may not acknowledge it, but they know and they're probably working on it. They're working on issues, which is why the NA servers are off line at the moment and they did apologize for it. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/news/
