Gotta laugh at some of the folks who think they paid extra for early access. Nope. You just pre-ordered silly.
Honestly this is a win win for me today. If the game is up, I get to play it. If it's down, I get to pop some popcorn and come to the forums to feed off silly rage from people who clearly have no clue how this stuff works.
......lol nice
I feel the same way. I can think of only a very small handful of AAA MMO titles that did not have shaky launches. Having been around since the launch of UO/EQ, I have repeated this cycle more times than I care to say and it is always the same.Gotta laugh at some of the folks who think they paid extra for early access. Nope. You just pre-ordered silly.

It really is just early start though. im not being apologetic just understanding that this is a mmo and happens. Also in any online game between all the data being compiled and sent and everything programming code is always subject to "break" hence why people have the attitude that it is "x time"
Now if server log in issues like this are a problem a month in then yes we do have a problem. but if in a month in its something like... jump on some random rock in dungeon x and fall through the world then yes its still new. with every expansion, new content patch, and change to code things always have a chance of being affected in some unforeseen way.
The problem would be if they were willing to way a month till the next big patch to fix these errors. the fact that they are updating continuously on twitter for status as well as fixing it as soon as they possibly can find the error and write the correct fix in shows they are both being professional and upfront.
Could be worst... could be like SOE with SWG - oops we cant figure out the programming lets delete some entire classes. or EA that would wait a month to fix anything
gotta laugh at those who know so little about financing they think they didn't pay for it. when you pre order you give the company money to work with prior to them having to hand over the product with thousands or tens of thousand of pre orders the interest alone makes a tidy sum not to mention giving the company a ton of capital to work with to put out its product without having to bankroll it themselves. maybe you should go back to school you missed a class in economics obviously.Gotta laugh at some of the folks who think they paid extra for early access. Like I said. The bonus is apart of the game pay. We're pretty much in official release.Did you specifically pay for the Early Access? Did you purchase it separately from the game that you had intentions to buy and play on the 27th? If you have, then I am afraid you have been had, because I got my Early Access code for Free, I PAID for the game, not the early access, that was just an added bonus.
We paid for the game, the EA is apart of the game. So we do have a right to complain or give 2 gil... but whtever. Nothing you can really do at this point in time. But the amount of White Knights are annoying.
It's like SE can do no wrong in general.
This is my first time in a MMO launch, and even subbing a game so -Shrugs;.
I don't think so, I just think it was in all in one deal lol.

Figure i'll watch a little pre-season football, drink a few beers and come over here and laugh at all the complaints. ten in about 45 minutes jump on the game and keep on keeping on!
Get back to me when you've got a good example of how the $40 I handed to them actually takes $50 out of my bank account. Thanks!gotta laugh at those who know so little about financing they think they didn't pay for it. when you pre order you give the company money to work with prior to them having to hand over the product with thousands or tens of thousand of pre orders the interest alone makes a tidy sum not to mention giving the company a ton of capital to work with to put out its product without having to bankroll it themselves. maybe you should go back to school you missed a class in economics obviously.
This seems to be a pretty smooth release from my point of view. Going through other horrid launches like SWTOR, Warhammer, or Rift, this feels like things are being done well. The NA/EU servers may be have some problems but things like emergency maintenance just means they found a problem and are fixing it. No big deal.
actually you are both slightly right. its a marketing gimmick to get you to order in advance so that they can generate revenue beforehand. So long as the game is released for those that pre-order ahead of time (EA) then they fulfilled the gimmick. They promised you would be able to access the servers before launch. hopefully between x and y days. they didn't promise how many hours or minutes per day just that they would release the game to you to access there servers early.
The same principle is used in the subscription. you aren't paying for 24/7 support for the entire month but to be able to use the servers throughout the month. they don't promise what hours or what days just that it will be available to use from the first day of your subscription to the last day more or less. y
are people really this misinformed about buying something advertised as a pre order with XXXXX promised to those that do?Did you specifically pay for the Early Access? Did you purchase it separately from the game that you had intentions to buy and play on the 27th? If you have, then I am afraid you have been had, because I got my Early Access code for Free, I PAID for the game, not the early access, that was just an added bonus.
if you bought the item prior to its release with the promise that if you do you will recieve (whatever) you have in fact payed for the (whatever) was promised by the seller.
the price could be reduced and you'd still be paying for both the (whatever ) and the original item as advertised by the seller. I'm starting to think it'll take posting the relevant consumer laws to stop people posting legal misinformation about a purchasers rights in regards to pre orders.
