Log window is not scrolling properly

Time: Ever since Early Release - I don't remember this happening in P4 or P3.
Frequency: Intermittently, often when I am alt-tabbed away from the game.
World name: Excalibur

Area and coordinates: Limsa Lominsa, by the Aftcastle
Steps:
1. Spoke with the Calamity Salvager in LL. (Didn't notice it happening before this.)
2. When I alt-tab away from the game, and even sometimes when I have the window focused, the General chat tab doesn't update when people say things.
3. If I say something myself, or scroll my mouse wheel in the General chat pane, it automatically updates and scrolls all the way to the bottom of the chat pane. It's kind of obnoxious if there's been a lot of scroll to read through!

I have been experiencing the same issue. As Teakwood stated, it is intermittent. Also, I play in windowed mode on my laptop. I have not noticed it happening when I play on my desktop in full screen. So it does appear to have something to do with the game losing focus/alt+tab.

I do alt tab a lot, but this problem as exists if I haven't alt tabbed in that log in session. As stated previously, I can type in the window or scroll the text down and it will update. But I will be responding late to comments made by my FC or party. This can be especially a problem if a party member is giving directions about the next fight.

Sometimes the opposite can happen too. I will try to scroll up to see a message and the window keeps forcing itself to auto scroll down. I don't know if this is because someone else is speaking in that window (shout, say, FC, etc).
