Optimization guide for PS3 users

There was a thread for this on the beta forums which I had bookmarked, unfortunately that's gone now and I'm having a lot of lag issues specifically with this game while hooked up through HDMI. I don't suppose anyone had that thread archived? Or could point me to another location for it or something similar? Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about frame rates then not much you can do about that to be fair. I have a Fat PS3 with a SSD which makes the load times a hell of a lot faster for my gf but their is only so much you can do to improve an ancient piece of hardware

Hahahaha... Is the PS3 version really that terrible? Sounds worse than XI on consoles D: should of delayed it till next gen launch... Rather than giving people a version that are barely going to be able to react on a HNM or something.

I play on PC but my brothers play on PS3. Only difference I've noticed is slightly longer load times and less players shown on screen in high dense areas.

The fact they've opened it to PS3 has boosted player base by 25% at least which is great news for SE but even better news for us PC players!

tape a toaster to the top of your PS3 i heard it improves performance. Also download Ps3 speedboost(malware rocks)

PS3s cost like $300, everyone doesn't have the kind of money you can throw around for a good gaming PC, just so they can have faster loading screens ¬_¬ Somebody is always comparing consoles....

Force people to get a better PC? If you want to give me the money to buy a decent PC I'll happily take it off your hands! I personally have no issues on PS3 and nobody would be able to tell I was playing on PS3 if it wasn't for showing my PSN ID on examine. The only issue so far has been in low level fates with so many people (most likely will not be an issue in a week) where the mobs don't appear because of the amount of players, and everything is a zerg so don't have a chance to hit the mob.

As far as I'm aware though, the zerg nature of fates is an issue for PC users too. People need to stop judging others based on their gaming preference and if you seriously feel we're holding you back please don't join us in playing. Chances are we don't want to play with you anyway, people like you aren't worth anybodies time.

My only problem with PS3 version is that FFXIV isn't available to pre-order on the EU PSN. But reading all the problem with EA, I guess I can wait a few more days. I just don't get this though people in the US can pre-order the game through PSN and get EA, all I get for searching FFXIV in EU PSN is FFXIV E3 trailer.

I need to know if I can pay the subscription fee through PSN. Does anyone know ?

Its not the PS3 but the individual internet connection . How could the HDMI connection affect the upload speed? HDMI is the audio/video connection . It can't i play on PS3 and have never had any lag .

It can't be the internet connection though, the computer version of the game runs fine with no lag.

Those of you with PS3's with no noticeable lag, what size HDD do you have for it? The one I have right now is almost full, I'm about to swap it for a fresh 500GB one (non-SSD unfortunately) and it didn't occur to me until now that the lack of space might be the culprit.
BTW I know the HDMI connection isn't going to cause that lag, I only mentioned it because the guide had specific tips on that type of connection.
