    If getting out of a battle regimen is annoying, then battle regimens have to be redesigned. You can't keep a system around just because it solves a flaw in different and completely unrelated system. Also if you need to run away, then you shouldn't have such a big advantage like +movement speed.

    But I'm not going to argue about those things... It's not like they need to lock you out of passive mode either. We'd accomplish the same thing if you couldn't recover MP passively while there is an engaged enemy around, regardless of active/passive mode.

    There are MMORPGs where they have hard/challenging encounters and fast ways to recover MP - but only when you're out of combat. That's the difference.

    The problem in this game is not so much the MP-regen itself, it's the "when" that's out of control.

    I didn't say it was annoying. The annoying part is putting it up wrong in the first place, which is a user error. Putting away a weapon is simple, fast, and completes the desired effect. This is not to say that I don't wish another system for BR was used.

    Again I'm going to point out that it's the mages themselves trying to take advantage of the mp regen (if you can call it an advantage) in the current battle system. And if you have mages in your party doing that and just healing: it's them, not the mp regen, that are at fault. Because with mp regen or not, if they just want to heal, they may not put their weapons away but they will just stand there and wait for people to get hit. I have seen this several times when I used to do NMs with another LS. While I'm doing all I can and doing magic as fast as possible, they are just sitting waiting, doing a casual cure. This is not the fault of mp regen causing this, but the player. Mp regen isn't out of control, its the mages you are complaining about.

    Hopefully with the changes in mind with this new party system mages in general will 'need' to do more than JUST cure or JUST nuke to be successful, and that mp regen is not a viable option during battle for mp restoration.
