I agree wholeheartedly with Jinrya - putting weapons away is the new kneel-heal, there's no reason it shouldn't restore MP, it's just another part of the strategy and there's no reason to drop it just because it's not the strategy you're used to. New game; New rules. Even if we avoid considering the fluidities of future content -- I switch my class often. Whether DOLing a node I'm passing, or crafting between leves/behests, if Exaltation is in cooldown and my mage is needed, I'm screwed without regen. I don't miss having to stand around waiting for cooldowns and running back to aethers when my party doesn't need to.

<sarcasm> Why not take out HP regen in passive? There's Second Wind. There's Bloodbath. If you run out of HP midfight, it's your own fault, n00b. Manage your cooldowns and hit those aethers! Then we can bring back kneeling so we can stand around and waste even more time. And then we can bring back chess piece jobs and stand around waiting for parties for hours! </sarcasm> If I wanted FFXI's rules, I'd go back and play FFXI.
I never played XI, so don't bring up those comments please.
And I'm just saying and I've ALREADY SAID TWICE, I never had problems with mp management once leveled up for spiritbind ect before the mp regen thing.
And the comment about HP regen, I could care less because it'd make sense. THING IS there was no pre-HP regen unlike mp so that is a baseless statement.
