I think the issue right now is there is no auto disconnect for afk players. Currently you can stay logged in indefinitely. If they add an auto disconnect after say.. 15 minutes of being afk, it will resolve this problem.

I disagree, that isn't the problem, it is the RESULT of not being able to log in. This issue has been going on since the last phase of beta, it isn't new. The main problem here is that people are not being able to log in and the game just started. Sure, booting people out after being AFK might solve this problem SHORT TERM WISE, but when more people start playing, the real issue regarding server capacity and keeping the servers from crashing will have to be addressed. You can't just tell people to go to lower pop servers when they have created a character from beta in that realm. They aren't just gonna pick up and make a new character after they have put in so much work. Another issue is that you are being put into que, and then booted out. Kicking the afk'ers isn't going to solve this problem.
I understand there's some issues at launch, like every MMO, but there's no information about that, and that's terrible for the new players that just installed the game and try to log in. Since the last maintenance, it seems that for them it works as intended, no news.
I understand there some issues but they really have to communicate about it even if it's bad news.
(PS: Game crashed, can't log back :P Error 1017)
I'm a pretty patient person, but the time to fix the problems isn't after launch, it was during the EA period. These server capacity issues were noted day 1 of early access... any human being with a functioning brain would expect the matters to be worse after the game actually launches. Not only was SE completely unprepared for an incredibly popular brand to have significant server traffic, they've yet to inform us of any progressive action towards an actual resolution. Resolution is not limiting logins, the resolution is everyone can play. And to say that this is an acceptable occurrence just because other MMO launches have it too is a very foolish rationalization. Plenty of other companies have multiple MMO launches, and their first ones are bad, and get progressively better. No, it's amazing how incompetent(learn to spell) people like you are. Every MMO has issues at launch, every MMO has connectivity issues even after launch when they release a major patch/expansion. I hate to bring up WoW, but look at it's launch. It was the worst in the history of the genre, but look at it today, it's the most popular in the whole freaking world, even after the fail of cataclysm.
Give them time to fix the problems. There will likely be a patch soon that resolves it.
That being said, I am definitely subscribing for this game, as it is very fun. I will be disappointed though if some people who were in charge of preparing the networking portion and those who gave them a budget for servers still have their jobs. Someone has to be to blame and the playerbase who bought the game shouldn't be the ones to suffer. You can call this an "entitled" post or whatever you will, but the fact of the matter is that SE is a producer and we are consumers. If the consumers aren't happy with their product in any way, the producers would be foolish to lay the burden on them as a corrective action.

the problem here is that SE put all the NA/EU people on one login server so yea we are getting congestion, just like they went on to put us all on same server for duty finder, they need to fix that basic issue.

Also, I have no idea if anyone realize how bad it is on personal and professional levels to rationalize something because others have failed at the same things. I thought the purpose of our brains and superior thinking was to always improve and not to repeat the same mistakes as our predecessors.

Well I hope they get it done quickly and correctly. I am looking forward to continuing playing!

I agree this is a problem and is wearing thin on my patience. Whats making me mad is that all of us are being left in the dark on this, I have yet to see an announcement or anything from them saying there working to fix the problem.
