QUEUE is Failing / Error 1017

idk why we are even bothering here. they dont respond to legitimate feed back or even try to reassure their angry customers that they are working to fix this. at this point, im giving them a day before i ask for a refund. this game isnt any better then the first FFXIV

After fighting with the start button and trying to login to Leviathan, I finally was queued!


Only to be kicked out again with this error! Its literally not letting anyone in. I've been in several queue's since and the same issue.

1017 here as well for a couple of hours already.
I really hope they realize this is getting absurd and are working really hard to fix it as we speak.

The queue is not failing. It simply means that there is no possible way to get another person on the server. It is at max capacity. The queue is there to make sure people log in slowly, one at a time, to prevent crashing / DDoSing the server. It is not a wait in line till someone logs out. The 1017 error is the wait till someone logs out.

Well first you would have to define failing. But let's say we take failing to mean, not working as intended, then yes the queue most definitely is failing. The reason for this is that, as people are reporting, there is an issue where people are logging in and receiving "you are xx place in the queue" and then after several attempts to login are receiving the 1017 message that states the world is currently full.

So, if the queue was working, as intended, you would simply move up a place in the queue and not be returned to a 1017 "World is full" message. However, this is not the case - hence it is appropriate to say the queue is certainly failing to do what it is meant to, which as you point out, is to let people log in slowly as people log out.

Incorrect. It is working as intended. As my previous post states. The issue is that the queue is full. The queue allows people to slowly fill slots one at a time. If the queue is full because it cannot allow any more players onto the server, that results in a world full error.

What you want is a queue that works based on people logging out and in. That is not the system they have in place. Their queue just lets people in a little at a time.

I have entered a queue with less than 10 people only to have it cancelled with a popup of the 1017 error. This is definitely NOT working as intended.

Another idea! Everyone go log into the JP servers and cause them to not allow anyone else on too!

If that happened, most Japanese people would do what they characteristically do - wait patiently and write positive encouragement to Square Enix stating how much they are looking forward to playing the game once they can log in. Something to think about, don't you think
